Im a 1/6 fan. I buy the best figure of the characters I like. Most of the time that’s hot toys. But if inart and hot toys make the same figure I’m buying inart every time. They’re objectively better and I don’t understand why that upsets some people or why they refuse to acknowledge it. If a company comes out tomorrow that’s better than inart I wouldn’t think twice about switching to them.

Yes that's true if another company does a better figure than inart without JND pricing I'll buy it too but currently inart has made better figures than Hot Toys. Now this could change with the artisan line so we have yet to see but for now Inart all the way

100% agree with you. I just think there are Hot Toys purists that get upset when InArt one ups Hot Toys.

The only areas in which Hot Toys puts up a fight is in the art on the boxes, the bases, the number of accessories, and the lower prices. Everything else: the sculpts, paint apps, hair, tailoring, quality of the materials, the bespoke/more weighty/magnetic bodies, proportions, more sturdy, (more classy on the inside) boxes; Inart are at least one level up.

@@dangiambrone7350 I have to disagree there’s a major gap in quality of the boxing, packaging and experience as a whole. The accessories are scene specific, and the bases are highly detailed unlike hot toys who has given foam and cardboard in the last year.

I recently preordered my first InArt figure being Henry's Superman. When it comes to choosing which company I'll go with moving forward, I think it's about consistency for me. And no, I don't mean about quality. I've never owned a Superman Hot Toy so I'll go with InArt's especially because of the flight stand instead of waiting for a potential 2.0 from Hot Toys. When it comes to the Battinson, I'm sticking with Hot Toys because my Kilmer, Bale, Affleck, and Keaton are all Hot Toys - consistency. It would definitely bother me if 4 of my 5 Batmen were from one company and one is from another. With Justin's InArt Batman review having just gone up, objectively, it looks like InArt is the better figure. But I LOVE my Hot Toys Battinson and I am more than happy with it. So I say we all should just enjoy that we have options. And honestly, if InArt really is the winner in the Batman showdown - good. Hopefully it means Hot Toys will feel the pressure and make sure future releases aren't trash looking figures like that Daredevil, won't have visible joints, and my biggest pet peave, won't have SINGLE JOINTED ELBOW figures. Great episode as always!

I am absolutely devastated that Asmus stopped doing LotR figures. They were my only hope for kinda affordable collection and more niche characters/generic orcs/uruk-hai

Keco was saying that Vader shown in the Sith line tease was the ESB vader but that can't be. Robe over the top of his armor, he has the Rogue One gloves. It's definitely a reissue or 2.0 of ANH Vader. Notice them standing in the Battlefront 2 Heroes VS Villains poses, we might get 4 heroes to go with them.

Nice having Dean the Dream back! So hyped for the dark side line. I really hope Revan and Starkiller are regular releases. If hot toys wants them to be limited they should just have Sideshow do a limited preorder window as opposed to doing a very limited number. Some of the Hot Toys releases are very niche. Most of the properties they're licensed for are not making movies and entertainemt that people love. How many collectors/fans 20-30 years from now will be clamoring or searching for a Reva Hot Toys. How many will be looking for an OT Luke. Thats one of the issues. If you make a quality item of a beloved figure like a Gandalf, Harry, Aragorn, people are going to be interested. LOTR will far out live most if not all Disney Star Wars. The Mandalorian can still potentially be the exception here. Price is indicative of demand and so far the serious collectors are willing to pay the secondary market for Inart. Hot Toys are becoming a cautionary tale. A great deal of Hot Toys can be had for substantial discounts and those are just the facts.

The old Thorin head was already good ( they do look better in hand ) ,but I immediately ordered the new one ,just curious . I wish Asmus would make upgraded heads for the figures that actually need it ( such as Tauriel ) . And I wish they expand the line with the few characters they haven’t made yet .

Gandalf wasn’t fully shipped till now . As everybody gets theirs the prices will start falling . Because - the retailers will have extra to sell. Second and more important - most people who bought Gandalf are not actual LOTR fans and they will start selling theirs. In a year or two ,it will go under retail ,they have a big quantity .

Gandalf's price will definitely drop a bit, but I don't think it'll go below retail. As Aragorn and other members of the Fellowship are released, demand for Gandalf will likely grow. He'll probably be expensive for quite some time.

@@thenewapelles6448 considering the quantity ,and that non-lotr fans are mainly FOMO buying the InArt Gandalf , like I said in a couple of years it will be under retail . When InArt starts line those people actually care for ,they will start selling it. Because the majority of collections with InArt Gandalf inside I’ve seen , he’s their only LOTR figure ,and a true lotr collector hardly discovers lotr figures exist just now with InArt . So ,yeah ,they might hold on to it ,maybe even pair with Aragorn ,hell even get an eventual Legolas . But by that time as InArt pops stuff they actually collect , they will start selling a line they obviously are not devoured to . And the quantity for the actual lotr collectors is huge tbh .5k+ pieces per figure in community that’s used to 600 to 1500 per character and numbered .

​@@thenewapelles6448Agreed. Also, it's not like the figure has been produced in vast quantities, or that a 2.0 is going to be with us soon. And should Inart go on to make Gandalf the White, I'd expect many of 'the Grey'' owners to keep him. Speaking for myself, I much prefer Gandalf the Grey's disheveled, more earthly, look and would never replace him with the regal version. The same goes for Aragorn.
