I love that idea!! And clearly these are for adult collectors but I can see issues between them being "toys" and the advertising of smoking. One of the things you didn't talk about is the size of the figures . The Hono figure is more comic accurate in that it's shorter as Wolverine should be . Love Hugh Jackman , but he's way too tall for a comic accurate Wolverine .

Both a great. Hono os a 1:1 translation of the comic. Hugh's is more what the Wolverine of that world would actually wear. Not a wrestling suit, but a tough uniform.

I like the mask on the new wolverine suit, I think if they shaded the muscles on the hono it would look better, I'm not a big fan of the deadpool suit, too busy, plus needs a red or brown belt

Hono Ae wears it on the street but the only thing that sigl dicoendo is that they take out some plastic arms separately even if you can see the joints in case the silicone breaks down quickly you have an alternative because this figure deserves to be eternal

When I saw the Hono figure I came really close to jumping on it. The price point was great and it was closest to the 90's xmen I remember as a kid. But with the rest of my figures (and especially my Marvel ones) being drawn from reality, I just felt like the Hono with his exaggerated proportion,s would stick out next to my endgame Cap. So I am very excited for my Jackman one when it comes in as I feel he will blend in better with the rest of the cavalcade.

After I saw the Jackman Wolverine. I Pre-Ordered it immediately, and then I remembered the Hono version listed and wanted that as well now. I think having both would be awesome. Get different looks. Unfortunately the pre-order window for the Hono had closed. I put that on my wishlist for now. If someone gives up that pre-order when it releases I am going to swoop in and grab it.

I think you're spot on here, it really comes down to a personal choice, even the price point difference seems negligible considering. My heart went to the Hono too, I grew up with 80's X-Men cartoons and while I love what Jackman's done with the role the classic figure is the better of the two in my mind.

Well the answer is yes because some people collect comic versions of characters and can't stand the movie/ tv versions of characters and vice versa, I keep my movie collection to a limit and the only thing movie I collect isn't something you see a lot of, the only 2 MCU 1/6 figures I'm getting or have is Moon Knight which out of the entire MCU suit is the coolest, most fresh and imaginative and the only other one I'm interested in is the She-Hulk so I can customize it to be a comic version of She-Hulk, they don't make too many female 1/6 scale bodies that come on that size.

Totally agree in regards to which fig to get. U have a more comic book 1/6 xmen display go Hono imo. More MCU inspired go HT. I have both types of displays next to each other (lets face it. X-men 1/6 scale fans have not been treated well in regards to x-men related figs being released) so if I were to go Wolvie I may go HT as I have Cable, DP and Quicksilver. (Yes Quicksliver was an xmen in the comics and not in the MCU. My display. leave me lone! 😁), plus like u said never was a fan of the underwear on the outside. Id say get both if u can afford it. The both figures are by HotToys ❗ Hono is just the budget brand of HotToys, but it's still HotToys. The question is, why the budget version looks better, than the most expensive one 🤔?

Hah yes I mentioned that hono is affiliated with them. It think they arguably both look amazing but for subtley different reasons. But if you lean HONO then hell ya! Sick figure for a great price. Both are very cool and if you are an extreme Wolverine fan then the answer is to buy both versions, but in the real world you do have to strategize and it comes down to affordability and or preference to the look you want. If you are a big fan of the comics and the animated Series get the Hono Studio version which looks great. If you prefer something with a real world look then definitely the Hot Toys Wolverine. For me it’s Hot Toys all the way. I love the real world look and Hot Toys amazing attention to detail. Can’t go wrong with either but Hot Toys is the winner here.

I've never liked tall leggy Hugh Jackman as Wolverine as I was always into the comic Wolverine first so for me as amazing as that Hugh Jackman face sculpt is the comic Wolverine always wins and at the price point I'm not even tempted by the Hugh Jackman version. The comic book proportions of the arms alone are better for me. I do think the Hugh Jackman wolverine has a better costume though.

It's not that hard to choose, the Hono version looks like a comic book Wolverine but poorly drawn, especially the face, the 3 facial expressions are ugly AF, especially the neutral one, it has an angry frog mouth and the other two are not better either. The Hugh Jackman Wolverine at least is very similar to the one in the movie, now it will depend on whether you like or not how it looks there 🤷🏻‍♂️
