Whats the minimum clearance you need between the hot tub and the wall for the cover lifter.

Hi Jason, so sorry we didn't see this sooner, we're not as familiar with the comments section on our KZbin., we endeavour to do better! If you were still wondering, the recommended amount would be 60cm to the back and 15cm on either side.

Couldn't Martin have made it much easier by just sliding it down and leaning it on the side of the spa rather than carrying it away? Not the best but just sayin. I have a lifter that also acts as a screen.

Hi Oldgoldtop, we understand a lot of our customers who don't have a cover lifter keep their lids leaned against the hot tub side when enjoying the water. Depending what your hot tub space is like this could risk getting leaves and dirt on the lid and into your water, but it is completely up to personal preference. A cover lifter helps with easy removal and storage of your lid so you can enjoy your hot tub without worry.

@@bluewhalespauk Yes I understand and I'm definitely pro cover lifter and recommend using one. My comment was only about how the video makes it appear more difficult than typically necessary by lugging it away which I expect is untypical.

We agree that Martin was perhaps a touch dramatic in the method, maybe for effect. Six years can show a fair amount of change in our style of videos.
