I have heard that is you have an air lock you can use a brand new (only for hot tub) plunger and it will get the air out. Remove filter and plunge there.

Thanks for the tip Joseph. It definitely should work on the tubs that have flat bottom filter housings or the tubs that have the thread in filter style. I'm gonna have to give it a try sometime.

@pool elementary, another informative video. What is your thoughts on the use or addition of a uv light? Do you recommend them? Thank you for the great videos. Keep up the good work!

Hey Josh Bledsoe thanks for all the great comments and watching Pool elementary. The answer to your question is there great! UV cuts down the use of chlorine by up to 75% and also helps with eliminating that chlorine smell in your tub by breaking down the halogens produced by combined chlorine. so as long as you change out your UV bulb every three years they work great. The bulbs lose about 10%-20% of there efficiency each year. On a lighter note might be a coincidence but I grew up with a guy with your name. If its you how is it going hope everything is good! Its been a long time! Disregard if your not the Josh I grew up with in Montana. LoL

@@Poolelementary Thank you for the comprehensive information on the UV light. We live in an area with extremely hard water now. Will the UV light (if I installed one) make my PH more stable? Also, I haven’t been back to Montana in quite some years and it’s always nice to see an old friend doing well!! Keep up the great work brother.
