where do you buy your products ? I always use HTC from Walmart.. I've noticed sometimes I have to spend double because it seems the products are not working properly.
@Poolelementary13 күн бұрын
I usually only use Bioguard products and buy products factory direct. You can get them online at a pool store near you.

If procedure was done properly then I would say you got a bad seal. It's rare but I have had to replace a few twice.

my hot tub has a heater with a pressure switch cable, but it goes to nowhere. is that an issue? sometimes the heater doesn heat. should i jump the switch cable?
@HotTubServicesАй бұрын
If your tub is a hot springs with a heater that has a grey cable going into the back of it that can be stripped down and replace the switch separately, much cheaper than paying hundreds for a new heater but will mean draining and best to remove the heater so it will be easier to work on👍🏼

i held my shop-vac under the pipe where it connects to the pump, and slowly loosened it. didn't spill a drop on the floor. the vac pulls it right in. didn't take long, kept loosening more and more. did that with all the pipes connecting to the pumps. separated the pipes from the pumps completely then got all the water out that wanted to come out. then added antifreeze to everything.

Thank you for the video. We have a 300 gallon Softub, and I just learned that the @ease FROG floater, in addition to having chlorine, has the minerals on top part. So with this is the case, and not knowing, I went ahead and bought the @ease mineral filter (green stick) that is now inside the regular filter. Is this overkill? Will it cause damage to the Softub skin? Or our skin? Thanks!

Just watched this for kicks. You should have been in New Orleans after Katrina. It was horrible. Did 1-3 pools a day. Drained and cleaned. Got over 300 Koi out of 1 pool. The owner put them in to eat mosquito larvae. Great video.

What irritates me, as a lifelong electronics repair tech, is that spa control packs have been around for decades, intended for moist/wet environments, yet the engineers that design them still cannot figure out how to locate components in such a way that one or two drops of water won't trash a $500-$1000 unit. THAT is sheer stupidity and/or laziness on the part of the engineers. Why aren't the boards coated with potting compound to waterproof them? None of the equipment manufacturers are willing to repair the packs, so access to components for repair/replacement isn't a factor, nor is cost, because potting the entire board is a negligible cost during the circuit board manufacturing process. It's bad design and bad manufacturing processes. My spa has a repeating flow sensor error, and my spa tech cannot figure it out, but as far as I can tell, he hasn't replaced the sensor yet. With that tiny inlet on the flow sensor unit itself, the smallest piece of debris may have gotten into the sensor and may be interfering with the function of the pressure plates, which would explain the intermittent nature of the error. Basic troubleshooting seems to be completely alien to my spa tech, who really doesn't seem to understand anything more complex than gluing pipes together.

Spray foam inside of hot tubs that conceals the plumbing is the dumbest. That kind of insulation isn’t necessary. Mylar coated bubble wrap works great and gives access to plumbing. 👍🏻✌🏻
