I love this channel I collected my first hot wheel purple silhouette June 8th 1968 I was 10 my redlines were perfect. I waxed them and played only on carpet. If one of friends tried to crash into one of my cars? I'd sit on them. I was a fat kid. They learned pretty quick. I quit collecting in 70 and started motocross. I had a bonanza mini bike SL 70 Honda, 125 SL Honda 360 Yamaha Enduro a CR 250 Honda Elsinore, YZ 400 Yamaha, BSA 500 one lunger 60 Harley police trike a couple fat boys, road glides. Got divorced in 95 lost everything. Started collecting hot wheels again at age 60. I'm 66 now. I thought I had a collection until this ol boy from Canada. He's probably thrown out more than I'll ever have especially now that I lost my only son then my 2nd wife and was diagnosed with cancer all within a year plus our cat, kity died a week before my Cate. I don't drive and to buy things on Ebay? To expensive and the postage sucks! Anyway fabulous collection and the commentary I love the most wish I had that funny car collection there was a full set of Dragstrip demons 999.99 plus over 100 shipping! I won't be alive that long. Keep up the great channel

Wild to me the quality hot wheels used to put into mainlines. The mainlines you’re showing are better looking and better quality than the STH’s today

There was so many variations in the mid to late 2000's. I was pretty happy about that because it was exciting going through the pegs and getting the hard to find variations while everyone else seemed to be just looking for T-Hunts. A few of the mainline variations are more valuable than the T-Hunts.

I do for sure, I much prefer the collector based hot wheels channels vs the mr beastification channels of some crackhead running through 19 different stores searching for STH’s like they’re hunting for their next fix before they go into withdrawals

I did this few months back, even though I mainly collect semi trucks, I also have lots of HW in my collection. Opened couple boxes few months back and didn’t even remember buying the Awesome Hotwheels I had lol. Still have another 15 boxes to go thru.. one day will do a video like this myself. Always a surprise. Nice work and few of us can relate to this video 🤣

Faster Then Ever Wheels.... 2006 new wheel type. I belive it was not really the nee wheel but they used better old style nickle plated axles ...but i may be wrong . 2012 had a car transition as well ..i have a car with 2 new different cards because it was new for 2012 on its first card then new model on the other card that had a new 2013 style. Also the 2012 card is the first time you see the circle that says whats new

I kind of quit collecting in past few years mainly because even though I have a mere fraction of what you do & most of is in boxes so I cant even see & appreciate them, you need a warehouse or real museum for your collection for you & others to truly admire your collection!!

It's true, they do just sit in storage boxes for years sometimes! A bigger museum will be likely at some point in the future

I might get to that point of running out of space in about five years. My poison is Hot Wheels mainlines, 5 packs ,Halloween themed cars, and First Editions/New Models. I must have the first ever release of every casting Mattel ever churned out. I have very Muscle Car, Toaster, Hot Tub, Dinosaur, Batmobile on wheels Mattel has churned out in the last 50 or so years, so I'm dying to see what you have stored in those cases.

10:00 those are called Faster than ever or FTE wheels they rolled faster and longer than normal axles its thanks to the axles being nickel plated axles and had less friction than normal axles; they redid them later i believe in either 2011 or 2012 with the faster than ever 2 (FTE2) wheels with a different style of rims with both of them being "colored" copper
@wtffor5 күн бұрын
Yes, thank you for that information! I can't believe I forgot the name of those wheels, but they did have a limited run!
@comradecorvette70625 күн бұрын
@@wtffor no problem they are one of the best to use when doing down hill races its a shame hot wheels doesnt do modern fte wheels i have a feeling they would sell
@MrWolfSnack5 күн бұрын
@@wtffor Like Comrade said, they had special nickel plating on the axles and - many do not know this - in addition to the nickel axles they had delrin bearings (wheel hubs) like the old original redline wheels. It was no sales gimmick, FTE meant they were "faster than ever" for real! I'm sure this was stupidly costly to produce which is certainly why they were only around for a short time and on specific cars.
@comradecorvette70625 күн бұрын
@@MrWolfSnack tbh i didnt even know that they had delrin bearings in them all i know was the nickel plating on the axles thanks for the additional info on the FTE wheels
@MrWolfSnack5 күн бұрын
@@comradecorvette7062 Yup. I heard it from an old Hot Wheels history website. I don't know if it was the entire FTE wheel was delrin or just the innermost hub. I never had a FTE wheel off its axle for study. Also I found out just now they were only sold from October to November of 2005. Only one month. That is so insane.

2:30 I have better methods of storing cars than this. This way of storing carded cars is not efficient on space and it's chewing up so much of your space in that small area.
