I remember when these were fresh out of the factory back in the day. The '67-'70 GTX, Roadrunner, Satellite all shared pretty much the same body panels. The difference was the rear panels, grille and interior bits. Great job.

When I was a kid, my Dad had a 63 (64?) Ford Galaxie that was like a royal blue metallic with red interior, and I've got to say leaving the interior red on this one completely fits the style of that model 😉

I got hit by zinc pest on one of my models, the paint was crazing and blistering, and the casring was like the surface of the moon, it has since crumbled to dust! Livid is an understatement

Love it. My favorite color is bright rich red like that and those black tires with the chrome mags make that awesome paint job pop even more! You need to photograph this and some of your others and post them as PC wallpapers.

Happy Birthday, and Hi Jimmy. Fantastic looking GTX. I cannot stand chrome plastic bases or interiors, so I soak them in Super Clean . Takes about 15 - 30 minutes usually, and you're left with the black plastic . No scrubbing , chrome just disappears. I love your solution for the windows, I'll have to try that.
