The back wheels independent suspension was such a cool thing.... I now remember when I use to play with em as a kid... That was one of the thing that I would watch and pay attention to when a press down on it or driving it riding through uneven surfaces... Awesome.

Wow! You really restored that car back to good condition!

You, my friend, have created the MOST addictive videos ever. I'm the nationally known artist Eric Green. I'm supposed to be in my studio working, and all I'm doing is watching your videos! And I disdained Hot Wheels as a kid. A total scale Corgi Solido guy who now collects CMC 1/18 race cars. Fantastic production values. You really get it! Cheers!

I remember these pickups! My brother and I would borrow our little stepbrother's Hot Wheels stuff and play our own game. Somewhere we had come up with a kid's set of mini building blocks: square, rectangle, cylinder, arch, wedge, etc. The game was to set up a track from a desk to the floor; one player would set up the blocks in some fashion to block the track and the other would have his choice of three cars to break through! It was actually a lot of fun, and the Fleetside pickups were the heavy rams. They'd also block the track if you could stall them, so there was strategy involved. Bottom line is we beat hell out of all these red-line originals. No one would have dreamed of putting a boxful together in original packaging as an investment, even at 79¢ apiece on sale.

Wow man, I had a shit-ton of those when I was a kid. (I was born in 65) I pretty much did the opposite of what you're doing here, I took a new car and fucked it up so it would look like it wrecked. I'm sure they're worth money now. Who knew? I sure had a lot of fun smashing them, burning them, bending and breaking them with pliers, etc.

Awesome!!! why have I never thought of doing this?! I have a collection of roughly 400-500 mint condition hot wheels that I collected as a teenager, but I also have at least a hundred cars that I beat the hell out of as a little kid. It would be awesome to do something like this with those old beat up cars!
