I got a couple of my old Sizzler cars and other old Hot Wheels stuff back from my nephews who are now almost 40 years old but VERY GLAD to get them back!! Thank God!!

It's interesting to hear that there are groups out there still racing and modifying Sizzler cars. I race Hot Wheels through a large community of 1/64 diecast racetracks: all gravity racing. So to hear that Sizzlers are also in that "genre" really puts a smile on my face. You have a nice-looking set of old and new there Mike. Thanks for sharing 🤙🏼

These were the best. I was so excited the year i got this for Christmas. These were so much easier and fun to race than the slot cars. slot cars would often fly off the track and sometimes the connection from the car to the track was poor and I spend more time with these issues than racing the cars. It was more frustrating than fun.

I remember having that case when I was a kid. Not sure what ever happened to it.Great memories. Still have my original hotwheels cases from 69 or 70 I believe with original redlines in it yet.

I have 4 complete sets that look new and some of them the stickers are not put on the juice machine and track

I've some original Sizzler's, with the tracks, Juice Machines and in the early '70s, found some NOS Sizzler's, from a discount clearance store.

How many original hot wheels redlines were destroyed because of the sizzlers battery leak? I think I lost count. But a lot! Very unfortunate. Cool case you got thought!

That's interesting. I read this is why Mattel discontinued them. I never had that happen and don't recall my friends complain about this. Perhaps this was not a problem the first year of the production?

I had about six sizzlers and a gas bar charging station. I thought a car company would say remember charging your Sizzlers today you can charge our EV

Thank you again Mike. I’ve Got my original sizzler cars and my first fat track oval. About twenty years ago I had an opportunity to pick up two more fat tracks (1 California layout) and a couple more original cars. It’s great to know there are groups out there that rebuild sizzlers cars.

Nice colorful background their Mike, also you can stack just 2 of the D batteries to either side of the Juice Machine and it will still charge the cars ;-)

I remember Hot wheels had a plastic fold up garage set back in the 80s. Folded up like a suit case and had a carry handle. Did they different ones or just that one?

Yes, I believe there were a bunch of them. 1981 Sto & Go City, 1982 Service Center, 1983 Construction Site, 1984 Freight Yard, 1985 Action Command, 1987 Car Wash & Service Station and a few others.

My Dad would often hit up good will and thrift stores during the seventies and grab hot wheels track sets to add to our enormous layout.. there would always be one of those sizzler gas pump chargers but never any cars.. never seen a sizzler car during my child hood or one in person in my lifetime!!

Your best bet is to keep a search on eBay... They come up every now and again. That's where I find a lot of things I'm looking for..

The water washes the paint off because the battery fume leaked out the battery and has ate the paint up...
