It’s so weird watching a motorcycle drift like that. You’d think the devs would include a different driving mechanic for them but it’s probably easier to keep it simple. I also like the elimination game mode. Haven’t tried a race like that since Burnout Revenge.

I'm looking forward to playing this. The difficulty looks like it has been balanced properly this time. You can jump to dodge traps and obstacles. Dashing is a form of ramming your opponents like on Burnout. You can now draft opponents, and there's a level progression system. Which I hope has some sort of Prestige or similar feature. Very nice Milestone, hopefully there aren't any cheap exploits for multiplayer.

There are a lot more checkpoints placed now, even on top of loops. So you cant skip loops like the previous game.

​@@andre13silvi Mostly in the mechanics. Drift-focused handling, huge emphasis on boost management, sidegrades for customization rather than straight upgrades, seemingly different handling styles(?). Feels like all that would make a surprising depth of strategy for online races like what happened in RR7. That's basically the furthest extent of it I feel though. I guess this game also has a decently strong art style (on account of being Hot Wheels) but the vibe can't be more different lol
