My thoughts exactly on jet Threat 3.0 and Vulture. If you can do funny flips real fast, move around real fast, and generally just be a big nuisance to your opponents, these two cars are your ways to go!

Yes! They may have weak armor, but you are almost never getting directly hit, especially with this game’s AI. There are technically more well-rounded cars, but unless a car has some very weak points that you can feel, I’ll always give points to a car that can do two or more things very very well.

Pretty cool, i like the info on how the models compare to the actual hotwheels cars and hearing about real life inspirations behind some hot wheels cars was really neat

Addendum: I'm pretty sure that the Sol-Aire CX4 can accelerate indefinitely with the Jet Booster gadget, which makes it the fastest car in the game under certain conditions. At least, this is true on the PC version

I finally got around to watching this video. I think it's a pretty good list and nothing stands out to me as very weird. I guess I would maybe drop Rigor Motor to F. It's so unwieldy to drive, and has the Arachnorod slippery-ness. Honestly, I might also put Jet Threat 3.0 in B or A. It is also pretty slippery if you go fast and try to turn, you'll completely spin around. It's cool that you're also able to add in some insight about how close the models are to their castings, which I wouldn't really be able to do!

Thanks for checking it out! Sorry I just got around to replying to a 3 week old comment, lol. I have always liked Rigor Motor and thought the slippery handling wasn't as apparent in my gameplay with each car but it is definetely there. I think Rigor Motor has the benefit of a low slung design unlike Way 2 Fast so the Camera Angle isn't awful. Jet Threat was a borderline A tier car for me so I understand that too.

@RevItUp7 power rocket was always my go to tho. Fast, great armor, decent stunt. But it was interchangeable with vulture. Nice video!

also, i think you should factor in which cars are used for speedruns. gamebreaking and exploitive yes, but some of the physics nuance that some of the cars have give them an incredible edge in hyperefficient performance such as in speedruns.

you should try playing hot wheels extreme racing for the PS1, its transformation and customization mechanics really make it worth playing

Krazy 8s, Shadow Jet, Jaded, Hyperliner placements are all based especially on Vulture imo i would switch Maelstorm with Suzuka and put HW Prototype 12 higher

I definitely think that one of the only things that I would change is bouncing Prototype 12 up to A Tier. I had a problem in battle mode where the AI cars would basically knock me around and kill me easily since the car is so big, grip poor and armor weak. Battling up close is one of the only real ways to battle in this game without real aiming features. At least that is 90% of all fight ranges. A car's 100 speed is suddenly useless when it feels like you're overboard 454 at close range. STILL, the speed is useful for many things in adventure mode and finding collectibles in joyride probably. The high stunt is also great so I think that warrants A tier in hindsight. Maelstrom is more balanced than MST Suzuka with some stats in the 60+ range which is why it got a spot that high. I love MST though and was tempted to place it higher just because, lol.

I only mildly played that game as a kid. I only did this tier list since I really know a lot about each individual car in this game.
