Can you do a video on Yamaha Tach operation/troubleshooting? I have a 2000 250 ox66 with intermittent tach operation I have tried everything I could to figure it out and still intermittent.

Your videos are great and very educational. Thank you. I have a question if you could help? My boat has a Suzuki DF90A. The starting battery was a 24. 550 CC’s 675 ca. I run 2 live wells off it as well and they drained it the last time out to the point my jump box didn’t start the motor. It was an old battery though. Can I increase the battery size to a 800cca 1000 Va to help the live-well operation? Or will this affect the motors charging ability? Thanks for any help.

Nah, put that 800 in there, it will be way better. Also, if you spend a lot of time with the engine off and livewell on, maybe turn the engine on every 30-45 minutes and let it run for 15-20 minutes to help maintain that battery :)

Recommend never use any flame on heat shrink insulation tubing. Use only small electric heat blower gun. Heat shrinking in tight bunch wiring, put something behind each heat shrink to shield other wires from heat blower gun.

Is that for all the newer fore strokes .or just two strokes

It's pretty standard for Yamaha engines

Great video ! So the Blue Sea Systems mini add a battery ACR "SI" is connected to the yellow wire?
@BornAgainBoating4 ай бұрын
Not really, the SI on the ACR is for "start isolation" which basically disconnects the ACR from having starting amperage flow through the ACR. Usually only used on inboards though, we usually don't hook that up on the outboards :/

@@BornAgainBoating Connecting the 'SI' to F70 outboard start 'brown' wire stops the necessity to reset my sounder after start.
