Chad is just in his own world. A total introvert with probably anxiety. Dude probably went through the highs and lows of being a celebrity along with a fast lifestyle that took a toll on his mental health. You can tell he enjoys just being to himself and his inner circle. A LEGEND NO DOUBT!

That’s not what’s happening here. He’s one of the most influential artists of all time and you ask him to recount his very well documented history. He’s still alive and pretty young! Ask some relevant questions if you want him to actually care about the interview. Hot 97 crew are shallow and dumb
@IceKoldKilla

Yeah I was like him growing up. He reminds me of how I EXACTLY was in public. Social anxiety is the actual term for this. I still live with it but a job I got when I moved to the UK allowed me to talk to strangers A LOT and I had to adjust quickly. It made me more comfortable. Nowadays even if I'm aware I'm being awkward, I might lean into it and have some fun at the expense of others. 😂 Also some people enjoy that humor anyway so it works out fine sometimes.
@IceKoldKilla
@IceKoldKilla 3 ай бұрын
@@jimmyhart3191No, he doesn't do interviews and barely goes out in public anymore. There's a reason. You can be in denial but he reminds me of how I was up until around age 23-24. I used to be so damn shy, awkward, quiet. I'd still be in my head about one thing while the conversation moved on. Luckily I had a job that pushed my limits and I grew as a person. I took it as a challenge to get comfortable in public situations. My social anxiety isn't gone but weed helps a lot.

What Chad Hugo did with Pharrell, they opened up the sound of HiP Hop and Rap. Because prior to them, it was a very boom nap hard gritty music, and what they introduced softened and added color and flavor to the scene. S/O is to the brilliant, Chad. I became an instant Neptunes/N.E.R.D fan after hearing, Bobby James in 2001… Then I later learned that the Neptunes produced “Tonight‘s the night” on the Blackstreet album. Classic.

Chad, thank you for doing this interview. I know it is tough and you don’t like these but I hope you know how much we love you! The Neptunes and NERD have been with me since I was in junior high in the year 2000. My favorite playlist is the Neptunes productions on Spotify. You guys are the greatest producers of all time and I just want to say thank you. Because of you I was not afraid to be myself I know how to get along with everyone because your music has no border. You touched any genre and you always were superb. You adopted and took on the personality of every artist and music style. Again, thank you.

Surprised they didn’t match his energy and slow the pace. This didn’t need to be under 20 minutes. They could’ve given him time to answer and tell the stories without cutting him off with question after question

A lot of people don’t understand how vital Chad is as not just a producer or writer, but an arranger and sound engineer. A lot of that of his was missed sorely on “In My Mind” by Pharrell, just as an example of how important he was/is. Also, I do remakes on my channel if anyone wants to check them out!

@@surfacegrey no doubt! I mean, in my opinion, it has its hits but some songs like “Can I Have It Like That” miss the mark with me outside of that brilliant intro. It’s good, but I think Chad could’ve made it pop harder - especially with it being rushed. That’s just my opinion though, we all have different opinions!

For those trying to separate them as far as abilities, they BOTH contributed on an equal level. One wasn't better than the other because whatever they contributed was vital to their success as producers. In other words they both needed each other to create that Neptune sound we loved. Period!!

The Neptunes is the kind of success story that encourages me as a underground artist with a small following. Seeing how they developed his skills and slowly blown up after seizing each and every opportunity they were giving has been inspirational! They have quickly become a mainstay in the industry and for good reason. The group is too fire! I know if I put in the work, I can reach a larger audience some day too, but for now, I’m happy being a supporter. My turn will come too. Salute to The Neptunes🔥
