I don't think I have ever commented on a video here but I watched Angie for years while cleaning my house. That was back in the day when I didn't know what "subscribe" meant or how to LIKE a video. This year "as I approach 50" I started my own channel inspired by Angie starting Hotand Flashy years ago! My channel is my passion project and it has ended up helping me more than I could even imagine! Angie just gets younger every year - so it's inspiring.. plus she is just down to earth. I have to say I started watching your videos a few months ago and I appreciate so very much your honesty on foundation reviews, I am 32 years old and I already have a lot of skin problems like large pores and I started getting crow's feet and wrinkles around my mouth due to being a smoker and with your reviews I was able to find foundations that work for me that don't settle in to my wrinkles and make them look worse, Lord knows I don't want to be looking older than what I am considering I still am Youngish. Once again I really appreciate your honesty you know what you're talkin about when it comes to foundations, I am so thankful I came across your youtube channel because you and I like the same kind of foundations, only I don't have a lot of money so it sucks when I spend money on foundations I hate lol, now instead of trying a foundation myself I just wait for your review so I don't waste money. Never clicked so fast as when I saw you were reviewing this awesome foundation. I LOVE it! 64 years old with good skin due to years of great care BUT lines befitting my age (chin, around mouth, eyes, cheeks, the usual) and pores. It applies like a dream and doesn't settle into pores and lines which is fabulous. I use shades 102 (fair porcelain) and/or 112 (natural ivory) because I am fair skinned neutral/cool tone. Plays beautifully with my sunscreen (MD Solar Science spf 48). Amazon carries Maybelline Dream Urban Cover for $10.98. This foundation is a total winner, my 63 year old sister loves it too. Beats every other foundation I own (except Flower Beauty light illusion, they're pretty close though!), and I have 20 others!

I love this. My 14 year old brought it because it's supposed to be a dupe for IT cosmetics and it says FULL coverage. I love it because it's so skin like on her and definitely not full coverage. She wears it over a good spf. On her young skin the glow from the two combined is lovely. I have to say I think it looks pretty great on my old skin as well. We also use the Revlon Candid powder with it, a great powder that wish they had in a compact. Love that you compared it with the Pat MacGrath my daughter will be chuffed. I am 65 and retired, so I wouldn't need the foundation to last 10 hours. I loved the look of it after you powdered. It seemed like a pretty decent drug store alternative. Thank you for doing the work. Very much appreciated. I know I have said this before, Angie. But you are so brave to do all those close ups. I don't even like going out of the house without make up on (except at the gym). I can't imaging showing the whole world my reddish nose, my dark circles, and other imperfections. Good for you. Concise for sure. Angie, you always apologize if the video get close to 20 minutes but that is a pretty good length for such a thorough review. There are others who spend a good 20 minutes on just jibber jabber and I’m like, get to the point. Your videos are always really professionally done. I tried this after this video and have to say I love it. For an everyday makeup its not bad. I can apply it quickly for quick runs out without primer, setting powder etc. I am 63 and have lots of wrinkles and this does help make me look much better.

I love this foundation and prefer to the IT Cosmetics ones. I have the original and matte IT Cosmetics ones and they sit in my pores and accentuate dry areas. They also make my skin look even oilier. This foundation amazes me with its oil control, I do set it with LM Loose powder. It just makes my skin look flawless, lasts all day, doesn’t sit in fine lines and most importantly for me, controls my oily skin! I love it.

I absolutely love this foundation. The lightweight feel is wonderful. It seems to last on me fairly well. Although I am a drier skinned person. So that probably helps. My biggest complaint is finding the right shade. The color in the tube is really off. I ended up buying three different shades. And the one I have now is a perfect match. But it looks like it would be way too dark for me. I guess the good news is very fair people should be able to find their match. Also for as lightweight as this is, and not full coverage at all. It does a super job at camouflaging my chronically ill red face. They doctors can’t determine the cause of it. But I am so self conscious about it. And this foundation really helps without me feeling like I need to scrape my face off. Which is how I feel with heavier full coverage foundations.

Thank you for these detailed reviews. Just purchased Les Beiges healthy glow gel foundation by Chanel and I love it-so skin-like. This foundation covers my imperfections yet it appears as if I had nothing on top of my rosacea patches. I actually use it as a concealer mainly-it does not settle in my wrinkles, nor does it make my pores look larger and it does not give too much glow for my oily skin. The only drawback is that is not long-wearing but easy to reapply over makeup.

I bought this right after it was introduced and have really loved it. The medium coverage is just right, the needle-tip tube is convenient and the shade(120) is great. It's much more fluid, lighter weight and spread-y than IT CC+.

Thanks you as always for such an in depth review on this foundation! I've been wearing it for about a month. So glad to know about the lack of coverage for UVA 1 rays ! I had been duped into thinking this was adequate protection. I do love the silky skin like feel. While I haven't had issues with shine, I have noticed that it doesn't last long on me either! I like when you state whether or not it give you polka dot pores cos at our age thats a make or break. If it lasts for 6-7 hours thats good enough for a cheap foundation. I’ll probably try it.

Hi! Love your thorough reviews ♥️ You got me to try the Chanel foundations and as a mature woman I have found the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua works the best for my skin type. It gives me a blurred but no makeup look that stays in place even at the end of a long shift. It’s not cheap but it’s so natural looking that I can get away with just applying where I need it and it’s invisible where it starts and ends. My holy grail 🙌🏼

Love this foundation..I have spent way too much money this year on foundation..I have bought the Chanel which looked terrible on me..too cakey and settled into my lines and wrinkles...then tried Estée Lauder double wear which I liked much better...but still not my favourite..then I tried the Lancôme Teint Idol which is by far the best I have ever used...but is also on the high price side...but this foundation has given me a lower cost every day option that looks as great as my IT CC cream...I use it with La Roche SPF and am loving the result...thanks Angie for giving me so many options to explore..

I agree with you about this foundation and the Smashbox studio skin full coverage. So I’ve tried mixing 2 parts dream urban with one part Smashbox (athelios aox serum as sunscreen), and it makes both work better. Give it a try on a casual day and see if you agree!!! One more Thank You for Foundation Friday from me! IMO, you are far and away the BEST KZbin reviewer out there. Full Stop. Relatable, authentic, reliable, to the point, no fluff or irrelevant jibber jabber, deeply thorough (you really should be a scientific researcher - maybe you are/were) ... I could go on and on. I was so hopeful for this drugstore brand, but chemical sunscreen is a non-starter for me. The only drugstore "foundation" that worked for me is Physicians Formula tinted CC cream. It's great for indoor weekend wear and work from home days. I save my luxury bramd foundations for the office, parties and other special events. I have no HG foundation yet but my favorite luxury brands are Estee Lauder Double Wear for winter (I have you to thank for that one), IT cosmetics with the 50+ spf for summer days, and I will alternate these with some Tarte options - I especially like their tinted BB creams and their new Foundcealer (which you trashed this summer in one of your FF tests, but go figure, it really works for me and I Really like the Med Neutral color match for my skin - chalking it up to diff strokes for diff skin types 🙄). I actually quite like this! I bought it about a month ago and I think it's a great little foundation for just popping out on the school run or to the shops. With a tinted lip balm and a coat of mascara I just feel a bit more pulled together.

I love this one! I use the Australian Gold sunscreen and let it soak in for a few minutes. I then use Benefit Porefessional primer and the foundation doesn't look shiny at all. I tend to get oily in the t-zone so I powder there and at lunchtime it still looks great, not greasy! I do add a little more foundation to cover some spots on my face as it is a lighter coverage, but it does build up! Thank you for all of your wonderful reviews, they have been so helpful : )

Hey Angie, I purchased the fair porcelain foundation on your recommendation and, I really like it. I have dry, sensitive, fair skin, red hair and blue eyes. I use a damp sponge to apply and the coverage is perfect for me - light and natural looking for about 5 hours. Looks great in natural light. As always, sunscreen! Y'all are aware L'Oreal owns Maybelline, L'Oreal, Lancome, IT Cosmetics, NYX and a LOT of other brands. It is a dupe because it's owned by the same parent company. It's not going to an exact copy because they want you to buy the better brand. However, not everyone can afford $50 a pop for foundation. It's a good drugstore dupe. Also if you're looking for a good sunscreen that wears well under your foundation, use Differin moisturizer. It's formulated to work with Differin/retinol/retinoids. It's not a mineral sunscreen. It goes on well and I usually don't have any skin irritation. (Unless I don't wait.) It also acts a nice primer.

I just purchased this last night since I have seen other good reviews. I love the way it goes on, powder set. I am 61 look 42 (so I am told) and larger pores. It didn't set in the pores. This is the first day so far and good so far. I chose 120 Classic Ivory. You can actually purchase it for less on Amazon, $7 or $8 something $. I got mine at Walmart last night for $10.98 (in Arizona). The color for me seems to match pretty well. I used Pro fessional Primer by Benefits and it went on nicely. Angie I love your videos and the extensive research you do and the ingredient checks you do. I know you said your dad was a chemist and I can see that in you. :o).

Thanks so much for your detailed review. I bought this off another youtubers review and I really wanted to love it. And I did...until I started breaking out. Nothing new but this foundation. I returned it even though it was “cheap”. Loved the finish and wanted a light coverage foundation with sunscreen. But this just didn’t work for me.

Thanks for such a detailed review, I think you might like Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream, SPF 42, PA +++, it’s similar to both IT Cosmetics and the maybelline Dream Urban Cover but for me has better staying lower and no strong lemon smell like IT Cosmetics.

Thanks Angie for the test on this foundation. I have been using it and my other fave drugstore foundation is the Physicians Formula. They are different from each other but with sunscreen under and setting powder, they work for me. I rarely wear foundation for 10 hours anyway. As soon as Im home for the day, off with it!!
