Foundation Friday Over 50 ~ IT CC+ Nude Glow ~ 3-Day Wear Test on Mature Skin!

Oh Oh! I just purchased this during the Sephora sale. We went to lunch with our daughter today (she is soon to be 50) and she looked stunning. Well, she always looks stunning, but today her skin was absolute perfection. I just couldn't get over it .... She said she has received lots of compliments on her skin when wearing this foundation. When she told me that she used the It CC+ Nude Glow foundation, I was surprised. I've had several IT foundations and never really got along with any of them, but this CC+ Nude Glow foundation looked like a horse of a different color. Anyway, based on how great our daughter looked, I immediately came home and ordered some. I sure hope I have an experience more like my daughter's than yours ... but at 75 years of age ... I'll just have to wait and try it myself. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the review, Angie. UPDATE: So I tried the IT CC+ Nude Glow. I wore it a couple times on its own and thought it looked OK. Just prior to purchasing the IT product, I bought L'Oreal Age perfect Radiant Serum Foundation with SPF 50 so I decided to do a side by side test on my face. My daughter was coming over to take us to lunch so when she arrived, I brought her outside so she could see my face in the bright Florida sunshine. It was obvious ... the L'Oreal looked like it blended right into my skin. It just looked like skin. The IT product was clearly sitting on my skin looking like makeup. It looked heavy. It emphasized every pore and line on my 75 year old face. As with every other IT product I ever tried, it was just too heavy and thick for my face. Anyway, since the IT looks good on my daughter, I gave my new tube to her.

This is, finally, after 12 years, my Holy Grail. I thought I would never find anything that I liked on my skin. I'm 51, dry skin, minimal skin concerns, applied with my fingers and to me the scent is like a sunscreen. I had to keep looking in the mirror. I wore it in the operating room after 12 hours and For me was perfect! I skip putting anything on my nose because of dry skin and a mask.

Seems like you like this good product, everyone else is just complaining about the price and they keep on commenting Walmart , I think it’s an amazing sunscreen but not for the low income females that compare this CC cream to a foundation, not the same

@klausrostock4163 I have changed this product out for a new product called Naturium. I wear it daily and love it. I use the sunscreen first then I layer the light tinted sunscreen. It gives an incredible healthy glow.

Sooooo happy that I tried this regardless of review. Literally have ZERO issues with this foundation. My skincare routine is loaded with oils and creams, 15 steps or so 😂, and I’ve had no issues with how it lays on my skin. At all. Lasts through my 16-18 hour days without issue either. Bottom line, reviews are fun and I love them, but they honestly serve little to no value on how a product will wear on YOU. Just gotta try for yourself and go from there 🤗

Hi Angie! I’m 63 with combo skin. I’m darker than you are but still on the fare side. I LOVE this product! I put it on with my hands like I would put face cream on…. I find that works better than my BK brush or sponges! I do moisturize and wait about 10 minutes. It goes on smoothly and stays beautifully all day. I do use Retin A and thank heavens am way passed the flaking and peeling! Nothing looks great when your skin is doing that!! I love this for summer because of the lighter coverage. I had the same experience with this product. I mix it with Bare Minerals tinted moisturizer and it helps. I was freaking out when I used it by itself because I thought my skin was messed up. Now I know I’m not alone. Thanks for all you do

I swear you are the only KZbinr who shows what foundations actually look like on skin in real life - plus the thoroughness of time testing, testing with multiple sunscreens/primers, diff lights, etc!! Even though my skin is different than yours (dryer) and I have slight different preferences (sheer coverage) I’ve learned so much and been able to find holy grail products for myself through your excellent reviews. Thanks for the honest review! It didn't work for me either. I can use the regular CC cream and Bye Bye Foundation without any issues. This one, burns my face, most likely due to the essential oils in it. My face turns red and itches. I also think the shade range leans darker than the original CC creams and oxides on my skin. I agree, it's a finicky product and enhances any lines and dry patches. I wanted to love it, but I returned it.

Omg Angie, I bought this same product a few weeks ago, tried it once and had all of the same issues you did. I am a huge fan of IT Cosmetics, I use their Bye Bye under eye and there Bye Bye pores powder and I love them. I'll give the Nude Glow CC tint again with a primer and finishing spray. I adore this product! I'm 61. I have found that using sunscreen under this really flakes this product off. I have combo skin, large pores and this is wonderful for not clogging my pores... I prefer it over Lancome. Blasphemy I know!😂

I really like this product! I have sensitive skin and rosacea, and find that it covers well, but is light in application. It is buildable. I don’t notice a scent, but I’ll pay more attention next time I use it. Oh, and I use Supergoop mineral sunscreen under it. 😊

This foundation is one that works well for me, using the Drmtlgy broad spectrum spf 45 and the It primer. I am 59 with extremely dry skin (and plenty of wrinkles) and don't set with powder. Very few foundations work for me due to my very dry skin. May be worth a try if you struggle with dryness and want a light to medium coverage.

Hi. I tried this yesterday at Ulta. I had the same texture issue. Although it is glowy somewhat, it dried, and Felt demi matte. In fact it looked demi matte. The coverage was more than I expected too. A solid medium trending to full. But it showed everything. I think this will be great for people who do not have alot of texture or wrinkles. It was not the worse, and it did not break me out or burn which is a miracle. I appreciate that they went down somewhat in coverage. Its like everything around a pore or wrinkle decided to go downhill and hang out in the pore. A pore party 🎉. I think if they added more "slip" and figured out the migration it has potential to be a HG.

I LOVE it too. I have no problem with putting it over mineral sunscreen either. I do use the it cosmetics setting spray but this is my new favorite foundation. I have 50 year old skin and have tried many different foundations as my skin has changed a lot in the last few years. Used to love the It cosmetics cc cream but it no longer looks good on my mature skin- this new one has been a life saver for me. I have 50 year old, dry skin .

I've had this foundation for a few weeks now & so far love it. Just ordered in a 2nd shade for when I tan. I will say that it wears nicely on my skin except for every once in a while it will separate around my nose. When I am looking for more coverage I mix it with the original CC Cream and it's perfect! Love them separately or together.

Hi Angie! I don't think you've ever tried the Wet n Wild Bare Focus Tinted Hydrator Tinted Skin Veil.... It's my everyday and I love it! I think you would enjoy it as well.. Doesn't really settle into wrinkles and looks beautiful on the skin...I don't think it transfers either.. And the price!! Can't beat it!

Hello from Alaska! I have been using the IT Bye Bye Foundation full coverage moisturizer( *not the CC cream) for a few years now and I can’t image using anything else. It is like magic for me and I’m 59. I use so little and it’s skin like. It looks wonderful and I get compliments and I just love it! I will never use anything else. This CC Cream that you are using doesn’t like your skin. Maybe try the IT Bye Bye Foundation Full Coverage Moisturizer. 😊

Thank you for this in depth review. There are definitely foundations that you don’t have to work so hard to make them look great and aren’t picky about what is under them. Thank you for this demo video Angie! I understand and really appreciate your thorough testing, the longevity issue is always important to me bc I work outdoors all day, every day. What I don't understand is why a couple of other viewers who have sensitive skin and/or rosacea are complaining about the fragrance in this product, but they claim to be using and loving the IT original CC Cream, which is also very heavily fragranced. So maybe it's just scented the wrong way, or they prefer the smell of citrus or tea tree oil over whatever is in the Nude Glow formula. Seems to me, if you have issues like sensitivity and rosacea (me, too!), you're going to use a neutralizing, soothing mineral-only sunscreen AND a good primer, or find ONE product that performs like both and use it under whatever foundation you choose. I don't know why so many of us expect miracles with makeup - no one product can be the only answer to all of anyone's problem issues, can it? It's all about tradeoffs and compromise. Well, thank you again, LOVE your Foundation Fridays, and they convince me every week to stay the course with the products I've chosen for myself and have been loving for a few years now.

I wore It CC cream for years. I didn’t like that it was hard to remove, yet smeared all over my masks during Covid. I felt it was a little heavy for my heads but for the most part it was better than anything else I had used. The price turned me off also, but I could get a good deal on QVC. I stopped wearing it for a while and switched to Bare Minerals powder. My skin was a little too dry for it, but otherwise I liked it. When I saw the Nude Glow come out, I decided to try it. So far I don’t love it. The coverage is almost too little and it makes my skin look greasy which it definitely is not. I wish I could return it but I had to buy it at Ulta because QVC didn’t have any colors that I could use available.😕

I tried an IT cosmetics Foundation and I hated it. The smell really bothers me plus I hated the consistency and the color selection is not good for me. I am glad you mentioned this one has a scent and seeing the trouble you had with it I know I would never get it to work. I will not try any more of their foundation/CC products. So I thought maybe they've changed things up, in a better way, but watching this, it has no pore coverage, is patchy, and though I'm wanting a magic, weightless, hydrating tinted moisturizer for foundation, to make my skin not look over 50, and not settle into lines, make my skin look worse, this isn't it. 😮‍💨🤨😣

Hi Angie, I wanted to share that I just got back from a cruise. I took my earth pods. I'll admit I was skeptical that 1 pod would work for my "fluffier" body. I was also concerned about a reaction as I can have finicky skin. I of course forgot to try before my trip so I just went for it. HOLY MOLY these are AWESOME!! 1 pod was more than enough, great lather and no reaction on my finicky skin!!! I LOVE them so glad I purchased!!! And how cute is that tin?!?!? AGREE. It popped up as a suggestion from Amazon and for $4 and change, thought I'd give it a try. Didn't have high hopes but was pleasantly surprised at how well it looked on my face. It's light, buildable and doesn't cause breakouts or skin reactions on my sensitive skin. I wish it had sunscreen to eliminate a step but I'll wear it over sunscreen.

I enjoy IT cc creams and really wanted to have a lighter version. It seemed to sit on top of my skin as well and moved around in the same way you experienced it. I will try the Tarte. Thank you for the thorough review as always!

It cc creams were always too heavy for me. My new holy grail foundation is a surprise to me at 63. Laura geller baked and brighten powder foundation in tan. She also has a double take powder foundation that has more coverage. Not drying. Love to see what you think of it. Love your videos. Long time subscriber! 🥰

I am using the It, your skin but better foundation and I really like it. It does appear shiny when I first put it on but after a bit it dries very nice.

Hi Angie. Amazing review as always. Please please review the new formulation Dior Forever Matte and Glow foundations. Many other mature KZbinrs have found the Matte one to be a holy grail foundation. I'm 50 and have similar skin to you, but wouldn't want to buy a Dior foundation unless it was approved by you. Thank you for everything you share with us.
