Hello from the US. This has been the best tutorial ever on the CC creams from IT…. And I watch QVC when the company is represented. I am 66 and have one of each of these creams. I use them depending on my mood and find the shades to be so forgiving and great coverage since I now have broken capillaries and blue veins to cover. Believe me the blue is alot harder to cover since you get a bit of denting in that skin. Thanks a million!

I absolutely LOVE the IT cosmetics CC cream. So blendable, buildable, and lasts all day! It literally melts in to the skin after application, no need for powder (for me) and my skin is radiant and flawless due to the multiple skincare ingredients. Great for all ages, and skin type, and the bottle has so much product it lasts longer than bottles!

It Brushes are beautiful.. My issue with the complexion products is the shade range. I’m in between shades, so unfortunately I had to buy two. For anyone with dark under her eyes, the IT concealer in the little black tube is better than any of the other 30 Concealers that I own .. a little goes a long way, but it is fabulous.

I used to mix the OG with the oil free and it was lovely. I don’t like a super dewy look because I’ve had super oily skin all my life and always fought break through shine starting 5 minutes after I applied an oil free foundation. In the past 10 years, my skin decided to become sensitive and much drier. I really like the Bye Bye Foundation. It’s slightly more dewy than I would prefer, but not as dewy as the OG. IT is the only foundation- in one form or another- that I have used in at least 15 years.

I purchased the Nude Glow and after I got home discovered the sunscreen ingredients it contained are known irritants, hormone disrupters, and carcinogens. In fact…the one ingredient is almost seven times higher than the recommended amount. The Original has the same chemical sunscreen ingredients while the other two contain safe mineral ingredients. Not sure why IT cosmetics would put the effort into including anti-aging ingredients in their products only to ruin it by adding ingredients that are harmful to one’s health. I will definitely be returning mine.

Very interesting, do you think BB creams also have these ingredients ? They are also made by Lorial. I was going to buy CC cream for my daughter as a Christmas present , but I know she'll never wear anything with hormone disruptors or anything harmful.😮

Rose… what do you do if, after you’ve applied the cc cream and translucent powder(I prefer matte over shine), after you blow your nose? The makeup will come off on the nose area. I have not found anything that doesn’t transfer when I blow my nose. I had brain surgery 16 months ago and the right side of my nose runs a lot. I’m doing great by the way! 😊

Hey there! First of all, I'm so pleased to hear your surgery went well and that you're doing well now! Re the make-up, I'm afraid anything really will come off once you blow your nose. @erichajohansson5018 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tips. Do you have any more for dry skin? I have dry skin (no flaking) and I experience two problems with the original cc: 1) It settles really badly into my fine lines and wrinkles, even though I’ve dabbed off any excess product. I can’t use powders. They all dry me out. 2) It dries my skin out. It feels so nice when I first out it on. I moisturise, I use a hyaluronic acid primer and setting spray, and still it dries me out like only mattifying foundations do.
@RoseGallagher Жыл бұрын
Hi Erica, thanks so much for these insights and I will use them to make some follow up content! In terms of setting your makeup, do you ever use setting spray? I used to be a bit of a cynic about most of them but recently I've found a couple of great ones (Half Magic Beauty and the classic from Urban Decay) and they really do make a difference and help to precent any makeup settling but without needing powder. And then in terms of the dryness, how often do you exfoliate? I wonder if you slotted in an exfoliant maybe once or twice extra a week whether it would make a difference to how your makeup sits and feels. Let me know and we can take the rest from there XX
@erichajohansson5018 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I do use setting spray. I have never tried Urban Decay's, I think it's too expensive, but I have bought about it many times. I exfoliate almost every day. The foundation just settles like crazy into my fine lines, so does the NARS light reflecting foundation. The NARS ones also completely disappears from my face within about 2hrs. Barely a trace of foundation left. I moisturise and put on SPF after, and I try with setting sprays. Recently I've even tried with a good quality setting powder, even though they dry me out, and it made no difference. It just seems impossible or me, or I just can't find a foundation that works for me. Thanks all the same for trying to help. Best regards. @@RoseGallagher

They changed the formulas I was using their cc creams for 12 years an started using all their powders and blushes etc. Then last year I realized something is just off, I couldn’t figure it out. Then I found out from the makeup artist they changed to a cheaper chemical mineral spf and that is what seems to be an issue for some of us with oily combo type skin. It now settled into my pores and creases, and gets on my clothing so easily, never ever before did this happen. I can’t even believe it honestly it was amazing I don’t understand why they changed it and really I can’t understand why all the influencers don’t help get this fixed, because in all honesty I can’t find anything like it 😖 so many others I spoke to on a facebook post are experiencing the same, an tons of makeup artists no longer using it. Its fine for many people but the chunk of us that have combo oily skin it’s no where near whet that OG formula was 😭 but if they don’t see enough people talking about it, they won’t go back and fix this. It’s all about supply and demand which truly stinks I can’t find anything like it.

They all work a treat on my skin It’s the only CC cream/ foundation that doesn’t cause me outbreaks, you know them little white heads around the nostril area I even wear it when away in Greece with temperatures high… I’m not advocating sitting in the high temperatures just solely depending on your factor 50/40 in your cc cream But just dipping in & out of the sun, it works for me, I have never sunburnt my face I always get compliments when wearing it cosmetics, “you have lovely skin” so that’s good, as I HATE heavy make-up. So sorry to hear they're feeling quite full for you Holly. I agree, they stay quite creamy on the skin and don't necessarily set, it's largely because of the skincare base. Have you tried the Your Skin But Better Liquid foundation? Based on what you've said here that might be a nicer alternative for you, it's less coverage too. X

That's a perfect solution, I'd have said the same! X

You might prefer the original Judi, ask your nearest counter to try it on for you next time you pass xx

I had rosacea for many years. I reduced my sugar and carb intake and my redness was greatly reduced! For me it was a Hugh insulin issue.

What's the best way to use my CC as a moisturizer?! I'm mixing it currently with a dewy primer which helps it not feel so heavy but I thought you may have a better suggestion. Thanks

I absolutely love it. I wear a MAC primer underneath and a Tarte powder on top and it lasts all day. It looks great.

Great video and presentation. This video is longer my attention span but I watched the entire thing. I loved the explanation and content. Using your iPhone I got a “real” feel for the products rather than other vids. Others appear filtered and I’m left feeling… my application doesn’t look like that..but with this vid it looks more realistic. I dunno what’s going on with IT cosmetics. I started using IT cosmetics when it first came out when Jaime advertised it herself on tv. Best best best thing out. I’m sure no one remembers the white tube moisturizer. Coverage and 50spf in one and you can tell it looked like real skin. These CC cream variations can’t compare. Since L’Oréal took over I find the products are not the same. Also they discontinued the miracle water which I’m so disappointed about. It really was the best best best. I hope they continue the eyebrow pencil and vitality face palates.

Rose, the Bye Bye Pores powder is amazing. The first time I used it I was gobsmacked! I had seen videos of showing it was good but I was skeptical until I tried it! It is really that good. It's wonderful to someone else with rosacea looking so beautiful even without the makeup. The problem I have is the redness gets worse as the day goes on & starts to show through. Do you have suggestions?

I bought the nude glow in Sephora and they gave me light medium; I am fair and blond. I wasn’t sure it was the right shade when I went back they told me I should be light fair which I feel washes me out a little.. I need someone to match me the right way because it is a good product.. please advise, ty

I have rosacea and would like to try the oil free cc cream but when I visited 4 IT cosmetics counters in Boots, John Lewis etc but found there was no assistant to help. It would be an expensive mistake if I got the wrong cc cream or shade. Do you know if this is the same for every store ? Great video though. Really think this would be a great product for me. X

How can I extend the longevity of the cc cream? I’ve been using it for years now but recently moved to a warmer country and I can’t get the cream to last longer than 2 hours. I’m not a fan of setting powder as I have slight texture and lines around my eyes. I used to use the pink one and now moved to the glow one. I have oily/combination skin and it’s mostly to unify my color so I don’t want full coverage. It really sits on my skin all day and transfers everywhere (I use 1 pump only)

What if you are older with very dry skin? I find the makeup dries me out and that accentuates wrinkles. Any ideas? I do always moisturize in layers underneath but perhaps if I could find a primer that would hold in the hydration. I have tried It primer. Would petroleum jelly be ok to use?

I've tried using the CC cream on and off since I first saw it years ago on QVC. My biggest problem has always been tthe base color. I have very pale, fair with cool undertones. Every single color I tried ended up giving me a sickly pale green/gray color. My neck and body had a pink color and my face looked sallow. I had so many sales associates try to match me and even they could see it. I don't know what ingredient does this, but I've even noticed on my sister who keeps trying to make it work. It's really unfortunate.

Hi, I really love the classic cc it suits my skin so well. The colour is a problem as I’m using light medium but I need a warm tone colour down from this. When I look in Boots they appear to go to a cool tone. Fair light is too pale. What do you suggest? Do they mix to make a shade? If so which do you recommend. The light medium is becoming a little dark as winter comes I need it paler but still a warm tone otherwise it looks too pale. I hope you can help ❤

I have the same issue. I ordered 2 different shades and I use the ratio of 2 medium tan to 1 tan. It helps and lasts a long time.

Very good to know, thank you for sharing and I will feed this back for you! Out of interest have you tried the Neutral Medium, it's the shade in between those two? XX @@MinPinSteve
@RoseGallagher Жыл бұрын
Hi Mandy, thanks so much for this feedback and I will definitely pass it along for you. The Light, the shade in the middle, tends to come up a little bit more golden. See how this would wear (you could try it on in Boots from the tester before you buy). Otherwise, the new CC Nude Glow has lots of different shades in between. It's less coverage but the shades are very different and cater to a wider selection of undertones within each shade family. In the meantime I will share your findings with the team, they all help to form decisions on new launches! XX

Was the Light Medium cool-toned? The Light is warm-toned.

@RoseGallagher I would love help finding cool, pink undertones (for a light complexion- not too fair, not too medium). A sheer, skin-tint look. Maybe the Matte, maybe the Nude Glow.... more of the natural, no make-up look but I will try anything. Details appreciated
