I still have this one. I used to connect turntables in MONO. Right turntable plugged into the Red (only) and Left turntable plugged to White (only). Than press MONO button on the mixer and use Right side of EQ for right turntable and Left side of EQ for left turntable.

You can use your laptop as a mixer of sorts but you'll be getting bad audio coming out and you won't have anywhere near the control of a normal mixer. I'd say its a stop gap for a few days but you'll want to get a proper mixer and some speakers.

Hi my old amplifier has got no audio out , only phono ins. So can I forget about connecting it to a mixer?

You could get away with 1 but you'll need another music source to be able to mix, that could be a laptop or ipod but you really do need 2 to start doing things properly.

Hi Little help please, recently just bought the Behringer ddm4000 mixer which is a brilliant bit of kit for the price. However there is no booth output. I do a lot of live DJ facebook videos but I can't get the irig2 or rode SC4 to work for best (no background noise) sound. I have set up a rca cable straight from the master out B which is supposedly the booth output but I hear everything when recording. I also have plugged in the irig2 to the same output but the noise is really REALLY low. I have also tried the XLR cables out of the ouput A (left, Right) next to subwoofer directly to the irig2 which did have quality sound with no background noise however 2 mins into a mix it started deteriating into fuzzy melody and unbearable distorted beats! Any help on a set up would be muchly appreciated please as I'm clean out of ideas!! P.S apologies for the long message!!

How come the mixer wasn't wired to an amp using XLR leads? With the beginners in mind, they need to know an amp is required to make the sound come out the speakers..

MsCharlieBrown78 (Charlie Rae) not necessarily dumb nut. Beginner djs are more likely to use powered speakers
