Here's my full band cover of me playing all the guitar parts, bass, and drums for Hotel California by the Eagles. I used 2 acoustic guitars, one with Nashville tuning strings and other with standard tuning to get the 12 string sound. I recorded, mixed, and edited the video and audio in my home studio with the following equipment:

Never saw before a guitar player able to play 12 strings by using a 6 string guitar with 2 differents set of strings, one with the low and other with the high ones to make the illusion to hear a 12 string guitar !!! All is perfect thank you !! Just to say, why fade away instead of the "BOM BOM BOM BOM for a strong ending...;-). Dude you play all Guitars tracks, Bass, Drums, and you did all perfect ! Funny how this exact thing - to record a one man band version of hotel California always was my dream for, like, 10 years, ever since i bought my first guitar and started learning. But it always was something nonessential compared to more seemingly important things at the moment *(Edit: excuses excuses. Honestly i was just too lazy to keep it up):* Preparation for school finals, 6 years wasted on a masters degree only to work on a job not related to it. And even though i love my job and am determined to build career here, i still sometimes look at that old dusty guitar when i visit my parents, thinking "alright let me finish this and that and I'll start practicing again". I guess i really can check out any time i want, but can never leave. Great job dude, you really brought something beautiful to this world and your dedication and skill deserves administration. It even kinda warms and calms that my desire, even though thats not me playing.

Great job, I tried that in 1999(when I was out of job etc.), using 12 Tone System's Cakewalk 9.3. Learned both the software and song in detail. After sometime I replaced all guitar simulations with actual Guitar audio recordings. It was great fun. I used an epiphone a telecaster(japanese) and a yamaha 12 string that my mom gifted me a long while back. I realised the crazy amount of concentration and focus needed to do something like this LIVE !!!
