After 30 yrs of trying to learn to play that amazing solo, I feel I'm finally making some headway. A few more weeks should do it. I've got all the techniques down and can nearly do it. I love the way you've broken it down into chunks to make it easier. Thank the Lord for KZbin and for your tutorial. This kind of playing is far more musical sounding than modern stuff. Thanks very much!

The harmony part starting at 20:00 gets me every time. It's fast and weird. I'd be happy to simply fill in the empty spot in my solo with something that sounded OK. Everyone teaches that part different and I can't get it to sound right to me. Thanks for the lesson. Awesome solo. One of the best guitar solos ever. IMO

Hi sean. just caught your tutorial on hotel california. I have only 1 thing to say. You are the king!!! ive seen a hell of a lot of lessons on this one but yours is definitely the best. thx for sharing your talent with all of us.

Thanks Guitarreference. I have been playing this solo for about forty years and of course play it with my own inflections. As a heavily influenced Gilmore and Clapton strat player I get some of there intonation and styling in everything I play. However I been looking at Felder for years and how he does things with his chops. You captured some of these on point and I have been adding them into my arsenal. Thanks so much for this great solo break down.

This is one of those songs that’s easy and very quick to learn in a superficial level but, and it’s a big BUT, to play it properly, with style and panache, it’s pretty difficult to nail. If you can’t bend accurately, you may as well not bother. One by of the best ever, for sure.

This song is really really difficult, it appears that they combined several pieces of music which they could have used to create at least 10 songs, its difficult to imagine how they managed to make such a song, hats off to all those who managed to play this effortlessly, you guys are incredibly talented, i can and would rather play this piece of music on the keyboard definately not on a guitar, but that will not produce those kind of vibrations and sound effects...

Phase 1: Fiigure out in your head the individual notes/durations/method played, by listening to it repeadedly Phase 2: Figure out what combination of strings/frets and which fingers work best to replicate those notes phase 3: Begin repeating that pattern until you start to attain melodic fluidity phase 4: Play fluidly, pick up on errors phase 5: Refine, repeat

Top notch, and thanks. I like the pace and clear explanation. I really like the chord being shown before notes.Just a tip to beginners. No need to copy note per note. I only like about 2/3rds of the original solo. I improvise..ldo the same if playing on your own as it flows better. I also strum a quick chord during the now and then.

Thank you sir, this lesson is very helpful indeed, the numbering of each lick has helped me keep track of the learning process. I have referred to other lessons previously, but notice that you have a few additional (crucial) flourishes/grace notes/stops that will help me get closer to the flavour recording. Lick #8 is a beauty (sort of Johnny Be Good style), but getting up to speed on it is another matter 😨. Practice...practice....practice 😂.

Chúc anh và gia đình mạnh khoẻ bình an........❤❤❤
