Please don’t put them in boarding school. Too much bullying goes on there and neglect by staff. They should attend day school. It’s better to be involved in your children’s day to day. A teacher won’t love your children as much as you do and won’t take care of them as well as you do. A lot of people have been traumatized from attending boarding school, including my brother
@jackiereacts72012 ай бұрын
If you really want them to experience boarding school, let them go to day school first to get used to Nigeria then they can try it out and see if they like it
@NicoleTheAlchemist2 ай бұрын
I personally think it depends on the school. Not everybody has negative experiences. But I do agree that they should start off acclimatising, and attending a day school for a semester or two before making that decision.

A quick reminder Bullying happens in all schools even jobs no discrimination when it comes to bullying. Now some schools are more aware of bullying behavior and won’t tolerate such nonsense, strick rules do apply. I’m pretty sure if she as a mother want to send her kids to boarding school then that’s her business. Besides it’s up to the kids how they respond or interact with others. Kids will be kids.

I'm no expert but i believe raising children takes a village especially at a tender age, i dont think boarding school is the best for their overall development. Set them on the right part and they will not depart from it. Im sure it works for some and you have wonderful well rounded kiddos, but they have gone through major adjustments in the last fews years and i think they'll do just fine in regular school and being in a structured household. Girl in these times our kids need us, plus they grow so fast im sure you dont wana miss out on that! xx

Rochelle, what airline was this? There are rules in place that do allow for compensation and or vouchers for a hotel and food. Last year I traveled to NC and missed my connecting flight because the plane needed a part replaced. When we got to NC, I got vouchers for food and hotel. Make sure you check the airlines website for their policies. No to boarding school. You don’t have your children for much longer before they leave the nest..enjoy them now. They need you now.

OMG, I feel like this was the highlight of your trip away you lot had so much fun, those two little girls were so sweet and polite and well- behaved! I think you finally found your perfect blogging, surrogate daughter, LOLLOLLOL. I think maybe a boarding school where they were weekly borders and they get to come home on the weekends would be a good middle ground. And if you did consider it make sure it was a international boarding school where they can follow a curriculum that they would be familiar with like Canadian or US or maybe UK. Plus, it would give them a chance to meet friends network, and have people around them who are in their peer group.

My son attended private boarding school in Philadelphia called Girard College (has grades 1-12). It was about an hour from our home. He was a disruptive student during his elementary years and Girard was exceptional in grooming, growing and preparing him for high school and how to be accountable and responsible. My nephew attended boarding school from 6 - 12 grade in Massachusetts. It was very beneficial for him and he’s doing excellent in college. He is also very empathetic and humble.

Happy belated birthday Jordan! Boarding school may not be so bad and it will build them up. You are providing them with so much more than the average child has and this may be an opportunity for them. Sometimes God redirects us so that you can hear what He wants you to hear. With all the detours you faced trying to get home, He directed you to your families home to maybe have that conversation about boarding school. IDK but I'm sure you will make the right decision - you have this far.

Sorry for your flight troubles, but on the upside, you got some fun out of it and saw the monument. 🎉Happy 12th birthday, Jordan!🥳 I've just learned how to swim during this summer, so I'm only swimming forward until I get more lessons(I love it)❤. Jordan's a little better than me. The girls are beautiful. The little one is such a sweet peach. She reminds me of my 4 year old. I'm not in favor of anything where you won't have your children with you in the evenings to talk about their day in person after school. Hug on them and do things together, and share a prayer before seeing them go off to sleep. I was a foster care child, so I kept my children close to me. Anyways, thanks for sharing.

I went to boarding school in Uganda and I was born in Canada and I think It depends on the child. I was a smart kid and I liked school, I didn’t have any bullies but I was socially awkward because I was the only black girl in my class or even the whole school in Canada it made me become anti social and so boarding school helped me get out of my shell and make friends with kids from many different countries that I would have never really talked to. For my brother who has a learning disability it was harder for him but normal education was just hard for him in general and he would get into trouble sometimes because he was dealing with a lot of mental issues. We both loved it though . It made me grow up faster and be more independent. The school was an international school so we had a great education and staff took good care of us so it also depends on the school. My advice is if your kid is having trouble in day school already then don’t send them to boarding school. If they are fine in school then boarding should be okay.

Its such a blessing how God made you land in a place with family and you got a free hotel. It would have been great to see you saying bye to them, thanking them and complimenting their beautiful house. Please dont put the kids in boarding school as in causes mental issues from bullying, too much disciplining from teachers and the most damaging being the absense of parents when the child needs loving care

I don’t think it’s a good idea to put children in boarding schools….especially boys. Too much predatory, ripe for child molestation vibes. While not the same residential schools did a number on the Canadian indigenous children. No one will have your kids best interest like their own parents. You have to keep a watchful eye for predators…children and staff.
