Hotel Fortina, Sliema, Malta

I think this hotel has basically closed now and last I heard was undergoing redevelopment. I really liked our stay there - lots of restaurants and the spa was heavenly. A lot of people were grumpy about the place - expensive spa treatments and snooty timeshare holders (because you've really made it in life when you have a timeshare in a hotel!). I didn't experience issues. I could have happily retired in that hotel. Views were fab. The rebuild will be epic I'm sure.
