Do they still use those death-trap motorcycle-with-a-trailer taxis? They were great fun but only after a couple of beers to get your courage up.But that was 20 years ago now.We stayed on Cayo Laventado but used to come over to the Grand Bahia on the shuttle boat.Because it was the same hotel chain back then,we could eat and drink there too if we fancied a bit of a change.Lovely place

Very funny: my wife and I went there for our honeymoon... 3 weeks before you downloaded your video on KZbin! :) (We leaved the hotel on december 25.) And, there's more: our room was the 3301, just four rooms away from yours! (We were just on the outside corner of the third floor). This place is paradise: our reservations are already made for the new year eve 2019! Cheers!

@@xoxoxov The food was excellent, (the buffet and the Rodazio restaurant was the best!). About the swimming area, being a small resort (around 140 rooms) and a private beach, it's big enough. There's some entertainment and if you go with Air Canada, there's a lot of excursions. About the TV: did'nt watch it... But the WIFI is A1!

The buffet is good, fresh and always enough. Lots of seafood and meat, on request, freshly prepared. Vegetarian food is available too.

I dont think so, the travel agencies offer the shuttle service to airport and hotel. The hotel offers a small shuttle service to Samana ~20$/15minutes. The staff is excellent and always nice, every wish will be fulfilled (:

...from 10 days there were 4 days with waves, the swimming area is limited to 200 meters and guarded by nice lifeguards.

I also noticed on the left side a bit further to the left (when you facing hotel) is something that looks like longer beach? Could you walk to it?

There is only this one beach. The nearest bay is accessible via a public road in 5min but there is no lifeguard here and a bit dirty@@xoxoxov

Only thing I am concern is food? How is the food? Ala carte? I plan to spend 10 days there. Is food excellent or average? Also, entertainment? Is there any other then these guys teaching dancing on this videos? What to do at night after dinner? Is there good programs on TV? Is there good Wifi? Some hotels have evening shows, how about this one?
