Hotel Relax 5 is right next to Hinoen Hotel and Located at the intersection between Chongqing South Road and Kaifeng Street.
Hotel Relax 5 is in walking distance to Taoyuan Airport MRT, Taipei Main Station, Taipei city North Gate, and Seamending. There are four convenience stores nearby, two 7-Eleven stores, and two Family Marts. Travelers can find lots of budget eateries in this area.
Hotel Relax 5 is rated 3 stars on hotels.com website. Hotel Relax 5 is located at a 10 floors individual building with 57 rooms. The check in time is 3 PM and 11:30 AM for checking out at the first-floor counter. If you arrive early and leave late, Hotel Relax 5 will provide the luggage storage service. There are hot coffee and tea machines located at a small back room through a hallway next to the check in counter. There are two elevators side by side at the first-floor lobby. There is an equipment in each elevator to frequently disinfect the whole elevator. One Washer and one Dryer Machine locate at basement B1 level. Hotel provides free detergent, but charge $50 for using Washer and $50 for Dryer every using time like LA Coin Laundry.
Staying at Hotel Relax 5 is safe, only customers can use hotel room card to control elevator and doors. After check in, I need to pay $1000 for deposit. $1000 will be refunded after checking out procedure. I stayed at room number 1001, Non-Smoking classic Double Room with area of 194 square feet. This room is side facing Chongqing South Road. Room is equipped with Free Wi-Fi, an individual air conditioner and heater with digital controller, a small desk, a makeup mirror, free slippers, a full size bed, 32 inches wide flat screen TV with local cable channels including CNN, a Safe deposit box, a Water boiler, free water bottles, a basket of welcome snacks, Instant coffee and tea bags, a small refrigerator, a private shower with a good hair dryer, toothpaste and toothbrush, a shower cap, a razor, a comb, hand soap, organic shampoo, organic body wash, and a TOTO electronic heated bidet toilet. There are electrical plugs near desk and above bed.
After staying at Hotel Relax 5 over 10 days, here are my ratings of this hotel from 1 to 5: Location 5 out of 5, Wi-Fi quality 3 out of 5, cleanliness 4 out of 5, Comfort level 3 out of 5, and Value for money 4 out of 5. The cons for Hotel Relax 5 are the room layout. I almost fell from stepping up to the bathroom. It is also hard to get off the soft bed from one side. I am often confused with tags for please cleanup and do not disturb. The most troublesome problem is the stability of Wi-Fi for I cannot use any mobile App.
