Your video brought lots of memories to my head. I used to live in Dar es Salaam and we used to go to Zanzibar every now and then. Baraka Beach Bungalows are very nice, and their dinner by the beach every evening is such a wonderful experience. They serve one of the most tasty - fresh from the sea - seafood I've ever had.

I would think that area just before u get to kendwa rocks is nice to swim around because it more open . I think it’s all a lot calmer in the mornings anyway I wouldn’t worry about it that much. . I think the afternoon just gets a bit wavy everywhere .

I booked late after my gf’s work booked a safari/Zanzibar holiday and wound up in a 2 single bed room at z hotel. Lucky for us when they noticed they gave us the Z suite for the time we spent there which is the entire top floor of that section. Amazing.

Hi Mwansa -I think I would try Amaan if u can. Ebony Ivory - is right near the beach I found a lot of people walking and hanging around your front door all the time. It didn’t feel very private that’s all. 😖

@@ArchitectRussell yea it was great, I was in one of those modern rooms right on the beach, I enjoyed being able to walk out of Kendwa rocks onto the road and get a local haircut and sneak in those cheap bottles of konyagi gin hahaha. The bar on the beach is great at night and really friendly vibe from other people staying there.

Hello, I need some advice. I'm staying at the Kendwa Rocks Hotel and some of my friends are staying at the Sunset Kendwa Beach Hotel. Did you pass by it on your way walking? It says it is 420 ft. away. I was hoping that the 2 hotels were in walking distance on the beach or road.

Looking on the map it looks like it’s just before the Kendwa rocks sign on the beach. It looks very close should be ok to walk to day or night .

Actually everywhere around this video in Nungwi is in USD all the hotels and bars menu around there and boats etc. (they can convert to £). Local money Best way is to just go to an atm when u are at airport or Stone Town. They have actually shut down a lot of exchanges places so might be difficult to find. U can withdraw 400k TSH each atm transaction

Diamonds star of the East (La gemma) was the best Hotel in Nungwi/Kendwa, But they sell it to Riu . It was still good then. Since Riu has been here, the magic and luxury have gone. Riu Palace Luxury 5STARS feels Like Antalya 3 * Hotel. Even the private luxury villas with their own pool look shabby and old. Clear deterioration
