Hello Weyni, my family and I are planning a month long trip to East Africa, beginning in Ethiopia, Kenya and lastly Tanzania/Zanzibar. We plan to go to Addis and would like to travel to Gondar and Lalibela. After Ethiopia, we're heading to Nairobi and Mombasa. Then on to Dar, Victoria Falls and Zanzibar. So much Great advice in this video, especially on withdrawing funds from bank ATM machines. As well as renting a rental car, eating away from hotel and planning your own trip and saving. We plan a week 7-10 days. Any additional insight you provide.

Sounds like an amazing trip. When you visit the Mosi Oa Tunya Falls in Zambia/ Zimbabwe make sure to get a multi entry visa so that you can cross the bridge to Zambia or Zimbabwe, depending on which country you enter first 🙏🏾

@@planB-BacktoAfrica Noticed not much on Stone Town attractions like Forodhani , any specific thoughts on those?
@planB-BacktoAfrica22 сағат бұрын
@@mctreasure Forodhani street food is a nice experience. You can try different local dishes and seafood. However I would be careful there because the food is overpriced and much fish and seafood is not always fresh. Try Urojo when you there though 👍🏾

Hi Weini. What’s your take on healing real estate projects in Africa? Hotel + healing center (integrative detox + apitherapy + acupuncture + hidjama + lymphatic and guasha massages, spinal cord adjustment) + medical check up clinic. This can be a good investment in real estate with health & wellness purpose. I think Tanzania and Kenya are good places for this.
@planB-BacktoAfrica22 сағат бұрын
Yes definitely a good idea. I don’t know of such a place in Zanzibar. There are many spas but no healing centers as far as I know 👍🏾

Hi there! Thanks so much for your precious videos and tips. But aren't you also a bit too dramatic about the internet? I was in Kiwengwa two years ago for two months and I was using regularly on line, even watching movies and so on. I didn't have an specific internet connection, I was just using the signal of my phone... In two months I've never had problem about that. So I was planning to follow your advice and go to the south-est in the next weeks, and I need to stay connected because I'll be there for months, and need working from there. But now I'm wondering if your very low speed on line advise was mostly related to the south-est??
@planB-BacktoAfrica7 күн бұрын
Im not exaggerating. Working online is not the same as watching movies. I can also watch a movie on Netflix at my home on the south east coast, but I can not upload or download files without waiting hours. I know many digital nomads who left the island because of the bad network.

@@planB-BacktoAfricaok you lived there in 2008. They just launched 5 G now all my repats friends are buying it. And Starlink is coming next year. The problem is electricity powershut sometimes at night… I’ve been 6 times in the last 2 years as a slow travellers for 3 weeks to 1 month nearly each time. I was able to work everywhere in cafe, restaurants, beach cafe, hotels lobbys and my airbnbs too … it’s changing … I’m a digital marketer and have an online travel agency too

@@melanintravelsmagic4834 Hi there, Thanks for your useful comment! Do you know exactly (more or less from which month) when Starlink will be operative in Zanzibar? Thanks!
@planB-BacktoAfrica22 сағат бұрын
@@melanintravelsmagic4834 last time I was there was from June until September this year. And the internet on the entire east coast was horrible. Another friend of mine just left the island because she couldn’t work properly as a social media marketing manager. Maybe it’s different in other parts of the island.

Ok i never had issues unless there is a powercut but i’ve stayed in differrnet places usually Stonetown, Paje, Jambiani and Michamwi … it depends where you stay. But now locals and residents are getting Airtel 5G and it’s working well

Internet has changed! They just launched 5G! All my repats friends are getting it ! In the last 2 years i visited frequently for ling period and didn’t have any issues workung remotely in hotel lobby, coffes, beach bar… I know also the Digital nomad community .. the real problem is inconsistency in electricity 💯💯💯 and random power cut
@planB-BacktoAfrica6 күн бұрын
Thanks for your insights. I was there when 5g was introduced. You don’t get 5g in all areas just a very few outside of town. As you said the problem is regular power cuts but unstable WiFi connectivity too.
