She is Naoko Terai, for those who, like me, are limited to Latin alphabet. I like "Spain" for the variety and abundance of interpretations. And an affection for the original piece by Rodrigo. Thanks to Miles Davis. This version is really great, and I wish they hadn't cut the last chorus. I also like the duet of Naoko with Maiko who I understand is her student. I have heard Spain done by brass bands, string quartets, saxophone sections, and every permutation of jazz ensemble. This one certainly ranks as up there. I also like the piano duet version by Chick Corea and Hiromi Uehara. But the one with the best rhythm section is by Stevie Wonder.

Dear Naoko Terai, I love your music. For years I follow these old recordings, look for new. I consider you a sort of genius in your art. If that piece was called "Science" instead "Spain", that would reflect my entire soul, all my feelings doing physics :) Give me at least a like, so I could feel that you read that, Naoko :)
