Jacket wanted revenge. Biker wanted fun first, but ended up with a traumatic memory written on his face. Evan wanted to find the truth. Pardo wanted to find the killer, not knowing he was the killer the whole time. Richter wanted to protect his family. Son wanted to be just like his father. Richard wanted to keep them all safe.

@Zombo_Domo3 жыл бұрын
@@epicm999 that’s wrong. Pardo was the killer and was fully aware, he just wanted the fame jsut exactly like jacket, that’s why he would constantly try to sway Evan to stop writing a book on jacket and to do it on the Miami mutilator because he wanted to gain popularity even for just a moment. That’s why the fans and Pardos goals are quite similar
@epicm9993 жыл бұрын
@@Zombo_Domo Ok I'll break character for a bit. Was Pardo truly aware he was the Mutilator? Here's what I think. There's no definite transition between when he is the Mutilator and when he isn't. (I'll explain what I think about Caught a bit later) What I believe is that the player plays as normal Manny Pardo when he's introduced. He leaves a Diner, stops a robbery, and goes to one of the Mutilators crime scenes. He brings up the media and hallucinates them most likely due to some previous experience (He comments that they're vultures for news stories). In the other cutscenes (Up until the cutscene that precedes Dead Ahead) we see him as normal Manny Pardo. However, in the cutscene with Alex, the Pardo we watch and play as isn't the Pardo we knew from before. He drops Jack's wallet off and attempts to frame Ash for the Mutilations while we see him kidnapping Jack. In Dead Ahead, Jack isn't in his trunk anymore and Mutilator Pardo clears the Cargo ship full of gangsters. When he leaves he acts pissed off toward the officer, which doesn't seem normal compared to how he acted after Homicide. The next cutscene shows that Mutilator Pardo gutted Jack post mortem, definitely for attention. Pardo's initial reaction again makes sense since it's Mutilator Pardo coming back to enjoy his work and ask for more. The next few times we see Pardo are most likely Mutilator Pardo becoming more and more erratic. Finally in the cutscene preceding Caught, Pardo go to the third and last Mutilator scene. This time it's different. There have been many Mutilations and at this point, Pardo's job is truly on the line. When he goes to sleep, he dreams about meeting Mutilator Pardo (The Phantom) and fights him. However, this fails and he's yet again possessed by the Phantom and is Mutilator Pardo for the rest of Caught and until the ending, where he barricades himself in his own house and dies in the explosion. My theory on Caught as I said before is that Pardo finally realizes that he's the Mutilator and doesn't have control over his body anymore. If he did, he'd turn himself in to the Police or attempt suicide to prevent Mutilator from killing more people. The Table sequence is interesting with this theory since Pardo is an asshole toward Richard (Probably telling that Mutilator Pardo is the one in the Table sequence explaining why we never see Manny Pardo have a Richard Sequence). Last thing, Jacket never killed for fame. He killed because he wanted revenge for Beard's death. He started collecting the news clippings because he was happy with what he was doing and wanted keepsakes. The Fans also didn't do it entirely for attention, they just wanted to join 50 Blessings.

This song really hammers the depressive mood into the setting of Richter’s home. All he wanted was to tend to his ill mother, but now he’s forced to lie to her face and accomplish the genocidal agenda of 50 Blessings. He really deserved better, every single character deserved better. I guess that’s the main idea of Hotline Miami. “Not everyone gets a happy ending,” or “Our actions, no matter how small they seem, have consequences.” However, I think his ending was the most peaceful. After all, he got to spend his last moments with her by his side, and was even comforted by the spirit of Richard. The journey was arduous for him, but at least he made it through to the other side. Even if it was only for a short while.
@artemefimov82152 жыл бұрын
All sort of bad things happened to him, yet he pulled through. His mother is Ill, his dad is not there for some reason, he doesn't have a job, friends or a girlfriend, and on top of all this he's forced to kill and bring pain to other people. In the end, where everything seems to be over, he doesn't get to enjoy the calm, but at least he dies with his mother, in peace, instantly.
