Как же мне нравится новое звучание этого произведения: оригинальный трек очень сильно отдаёт атмосферой психоза, состояния адреналинового опьянения, чего-то дико нереального и неестественного, от чего просто идут мурашки по коже... Ковёр же очень спокойный благодаря чистому тону гитары, даже меланхоличный немного. Чувствуется усталось будто после прекрасного и плодотворного рабочего дня, сонность, когда ты из последних сил пробираешься поближе к кровати. Лишь только под конец ощущаются эти безумные и неспокойные нотки, присущие оригиналу)

Давно приметил твой комментарий, но только сейчас решил написать, как же сильно мои мысли близки с твоими по поводу этого трека. Сколько не искал комментов под оригинальным треком, не нашёл ничего кроме шуток про хромающего клоуна не велосипеде. Оригинал действительно передаёт это состояние адреналинового раша, переломной точки в сознании Эвана, борьбы с самим собой, бури, разворачивающейся на окраинах сознания между насилием смертельным и не смертельным. Вроде просто саундтрек к игре, но как же он чертовски хорош. Кавер тоже нереален, из двух метал каверов, имхо, этот больше ложится на смысл игры

This is the appropriate approach to covering this song. Theres another cover of it that tries to go for every individual note and it sounds like a mess. This is super tight and the elements that need to be there are absolutely there

The original song sounds like a mind melting situation, where the character fights for his sanity, but this cover sounds like it could be featured at the end of the story, both tragic and hopeful, or only one of those things. the cathartic release. The sunset, the final credits.

I really enjoy this! The guitar has that kind of dismal, uneasy tone to it that gives it a melancholic bite. Fitting both for Evans storyline, and the general vibe the latter half of the game has. It feels similar to the song Around also from this soundtrack, and both of these really strike a chord with me, no pun intended. Fittingly enough, that song is also used for Evan a lot. Great cover!

The whole game up to this point was a high octane trip but holy hell once me and my friends got to the segments Subway-Stronghold and we were hit with this banger and Benny Smiles back to back.. It's one of those games that stands against the norm and says "It may be indie but damn it'll still blow your AAA titles out of the water at 1/10th the price." Excellent cover dude, love it when HM comes up on the feed.
