Billie Jean got place instead of it, you know they were in the same album, but considering the fact "Thriller " was out in 1982 and it swallowed the music industry, they should have listed it in 1982

@@jasurbeey_oo1111 if they can list The Beatles four times in one year than they would have did the same for Michael. Thriller may not have been as big worldwide as Billie Jean. It was probably number 6

This vídeo is not a personal choice. Thriller was released as a single one year after the album, by the end of 83. It sold a lot but since it was released by the end of a year, the total number got divided between 83 and 84, that's why it didnt made into the top 5 totals in any of those years.

Queen didn't have worldwide hits often, well-known songs of theirs like "don't stop me now" only reached the top 10 in 3 countries, did they have hits? Yes, were they big? Yes, but it wasn't a band about making "the hit of the year"

I was blown away by the effect Elvis had, then the Beatles and Stones. Then along came ABBA, which had quite the run too! Madonna showed some incredible lasting power, as she remained up there from 84 to mid 2000's . Pretty impressive. Curious how you can see/hear music evolve/devolve (depending on your taste) Curiously, in the late 60's/early 70's no soul from like 4 Tops or Temptations, or the Supremes made the top 5, nor did Creedence Clearwater. Interesting. No early 60's Beach Boys? Good Vibrations was one of THE biggest hits EVER! Just curious stuff.

It was fun to see that around what year I started recognising songs due to my parents still listening to them, and it was around the 70s when they were very young. It was also such a great flashback to all the hits I used to listen to as a kid/teenager from 2005 onwards, I recognised every song from that year on. Hearing some of them brought me back memories, like Hey, Soul Sister by Train and Cheerleader by OMI. Lovely video!

Wow! All these years I thought "I'm Not in Love" by 10cc was a Paul McCartney and Wings song. His voice is eerily like McCartney's. I loved the song "Winds of Change" by the Scorpians, but I never paid any attention to who it was by. One of the most hauntingly beautiful Rock songs ever. George Michael had an amazing voice. What a shame the only one of his songs that made it big was one of his worst. Listen to "Kissing a Fool" or "Father Figure" for a truly romantic, beautiful song. And of course, "Hand to Mouth" was phenomenal. Some really great music here.

Graham Gouldman was the founder/frontman for 10cc. He wrote quite a few hits in the mid-60’s. Between 1965 and 1967 alone, he wrote "For Your Love", "Heart Full of Soul" and "Evil Hearted You" for the Yardbirds, "Look Through Any Window" (with Charles Silverman) and "Bus Stop" for the Hollies, "Listen People", "No Milk Today" and "East West" for Herman's Hermits
