I was SHOCKED at how many killer old school hot rods and customized Corvettes were on hand at the 2024 Corvettes at Carlisle event. So many fender flares, so many side pipes and so many cars with history. I enjoyed walking through the swap meet to see old school treasure such as Corvette fuel injection units, 2-4 intake manifolds, and a bunch of great vintage speed parts. The cars for sale in the car corral were outstanding and included several flared C3 Corvettes with Motion Performance body panels. Getting to see Rod Saboury's Corvettes was an extra special treat, as was the Ronzello Racing '69 Corvette Super Stocker. Lots of great cars, and lots of great parts to talk about, so enjoy my weekend adventure at Corvettes at Carlisle.

Even people who don't profess love for the Corvette enjoy a show like this. I will need to watch it at least once more, such great stuff!

The Corvette is my guilty pleasure car. 😊 It's the one car you can get excited about, even if you're a Ford guy. The 68-81 years are my favorite. Thanks for sharing!!

It takes every trick in the book to keep a rowdy big block cool in a C3. I can’t believe that “Motion” doesn’t even have a fan shroud. It looks convincing but now I’m questioning its authenticity. Joel would have known better. Thanks for sharing.

Thbe '57 is almost an original custom at this point. I love the metallic green. Car is bad ass. No reason to waste a dime. The '70s metallics did not work for me as a kid in the 70's, but now I sure dig the reflecting fish scales.

Wow! I guess it makes sense, being he's been in the industry for dang near 70yrs, but it still never ceases to amaze me how many people know Larry Webb! Besides being a carb. and FI whiz, he's just a helluva guy, with some great stories. We have a Corvette specialty shop in Auburn WA and Larry does all of our mechanical FI work and some carb. work for us, so I'm lucky enough to get to pick his brain fairly regularly.

That green and gold metal flake 57 is the car I'd love it had the right stance I always wanted a black 57 vette with a gasser stance. I had a 59 I bought back in the late 70s it was a 396 4 speed it was a fun car but sold it when I spun a bearing. I had a lot of good times in that car.

Thanks for sharing your footage of this get together. There are some amazing cars. Corvettes are so cool. But I always have to laugh at what some Corvette owners have done to their cars. Usually from the '70s is when the modifications got so ridiculous over the top I honestly could never see how someone thought their crazy drug induced mods looked good. You know which ones I'm talking about. LOL

Grew up in the late 70's early 80's and LOVE custom Vettes like this BUT.. I wonder how folks feel about the value lost with all the flares, scoops and fun stuff now that the market has gone through the roof. Corvette Summer!

Im old enough to remember the days when 1st thing people did to mech., injected vetts was to ditch that in favor of carb(s). A smart friend picked up tons of those unwanted units, and saved em'. Lov, Dubs.

For a lot less than $2,500 you could have a foundry cast brake drums for you. Or if you're ambitious just cast them yourself.

as a c3 owner these are the cars i grew up with sorry if i hurt anyone feelings but i hate people that cry BUT ITS NOT FACTORY in my day in my area everyone drove muscle cars and the first thing we did when we traded or bought one is started changing it no one wanted one that looked like everyone else the wilder the better belive it or not back then sure you only brought home 200 a week but you could buy almost any 70 to 80 muscle car for around 1000 to 2500
