I will sometimes when it is a very important talent tier. However it will sometimes take away from my in game decisions when I talk about things other than what is happening in that moment. I'll keep this in mind though!

The thing with ranged build is that's all you got. You can't play in melee at all if you go ranged. Melee build let's you still poke heroes in ranged but also do a lot in melee

I basically never use the ranged form at all, melee form is just so much better in actually getting something done, ranged form attacks have so big wind up times that you never hit anyone with them. I go full Q build usually which makes the breath to just melt enemies, just need some nice cc stack to make enemies stay in it.

@@ThingWub Hard Disagree - Ranged build is the build in which you have a baseline stun and big AOE slow. I generally go Molten Blood into full Q build so if the enemy can't get me to 50% hp, then I'm going to fully regen any poke they throw at me, and if there are any long CCs that land (including my own), then a quick high-energy Q can do ~30% of their hp. Ranged build is much easier to play as a mage-replacement, but it 100% can be a partial frontline if you're looking at draft modes (in which case I always late-pick him to ensure they don't have hard counters to me). Also, the 16 Q is a game-ending talent that is very much like some level 20s that if you land the ability solidly just once or twice it wins the game for you. Then at 20 you get Arrival of a God, which is another game-ending ability. Either build though requires the enemies to sit in a 'danger zone' - Melee build that zone is mobile and centers around DW himself (with the W burn), and Ranged DW that zone is just his big-fat-murderous Q. I prefer the kill zone to not be my face, but slightly farther away from my face.

@@Klaital1 If you mean the World Breaker form with ranged form you are incorrect. World Breaker form is excellent against melee bruisers you don't wanna AA fight with your Q build. For example Alarak, just stun him and lava pool under him and move back. If you ever get close and go melee with Alarak he will surely beat you since he will heal each time he hits you after his Q ability. But if you do the way I mentioned he will just wander around like clowns, not able to catch you and get close.

HGC was in its biggest year ever too. This game is amazing and it really could have been so much more if blizzard took the time to add battle passes and other ways to make the game more profitable. However it's not the end of the world. We got left with a game that doesn't feel overwhelming with 150+ heroes to learn. The heroes are all for the most part balanced and you can still find games in under a minute. Long story short, blizzard can leave us, but they can't break us!!

At level 7 though with this build i do find great value from taking death drop which causes enemies you land on to lose 15 spell armor meaning they take even more damage from your W and E casts plus when you land your abilities are only on a 1 second cooldown instead of 3 so you can immediately start tossing out big damage.

Yo! Great video, but I disagree on a few things related to the ranged build. I always go Molten blood, because I only Draft DW late. If they have a tychus or greymane (where Draconic Might would be good) I just don't pick Deathwing. Stood in the fire has it's merits, but Arrival of a god is SOOOO good. Getting the spell armor reduction, the extra damage from the 7, as well as the skyfall from 7 and the extra damage from the 20... If you get a good Z drop you win the game. Again, this is if you can draft DW late and you can make sure you aren't hard countered by a Valla or other hero who just murders you without your consent.

Who be sleeping on 75% dmg reduction? Thats an insane nerf to enemy combat effectiveness. Plus the slow means they cant just disengage. Its why leo's wraithwalk build is so good. Dmg reduction just makes everything easier for your team. Though you do miss out on elementium plating which is a really good talent in its own right. I think the damage reduction will go hard when your running the w build deathwing.

Old game but ranged is way better. Should have been Leoric top like he wanted to, and you with team throwing stuns and damage. Melee DW is so bad with hero damage compared to full ranged. Just keep up that slow zone, and if they jump on your team, fire for the win. If they don't jump on your team, you win. If they jump on your team, you win. DW excels in zoning in team fights, so you'd wanna do that the whole game. If they're forced to dodge your fire, which they do, your team just craps on them because they can't stop running, especially post 13 with the regen trait where you can tap and move. But even before that it's better. You just keep high energy by stunning and slowing them and waiting. Because eventually your team's melee is going to start causing too much trouble, so they are gonna try to jump in, and then BOOM, fire of doom, dead.
