I’ve been Hotshot for 5 years same setup non Cdl 30 ft. Started like you but rates was better. But getting home I get loads same timeframe 2-3 hrs. From home due to most loads going to big City 2 hrs away. I no longer run OTR I now have a semi setup and my hotshot is contracted to a local client that I run daily and my drivers are home every nite. Been local 3 years now and it is nice! Find your own niche. Wish you much success!

Of course! You can only get loads if you are registered with an MC number if you plan to go to other states (interstate). Load board apps like DAT and Truckstop are a few to name. Check Takeofftotaltransport.com to connect with me for more.

@@DavidQuinn-z6o any dash cam that records continuously and saves for at least 7 days is good. I chose a random brand from Amazon. It was like $120 and probably from china. Came with a front cam with motion activation and a back cam that sticks to the back window. No need in spending too heavy.

May be a dumb question but my brother was setup in the business but went belly up. He deactivated his DOT number and has been deactivated since 2021. I am getting into the business, can I reactivate his DOT and change company name and owners name??
@TakeoffHotshot3 ай бұрын
I’ve actually ready about some folks reactivating. The only issue is that the authority age starts over at 0. If it hadn’t been so long since deactivation, some brokers would be able to continue working with you based on positive relationships. As I always say…you never know until you TRY. Make sure if there are safety issues on the report, those will be deleted along with the age upon transfer. Come back and let me know what happens with that.
