Two extra “tips”, some things I’ve noticed that you personally did was 1. Don’t grab the device by the light seal. This will almost guarantee that you could drop the Vision Pro. 2. I do recommend wearing the solo band with the adjusting knob on the right side, it keeps you from accidentally touching your charging cable. Great tips, very informative.

Great informative high density information here. Thanks for sharing so much. Have you found a way to set window positions to a saved group? ie. "In office" might have certain windows stuck on this wall or that,.. but "In living-room" may have those same windows/tabs placed in other unique locations. OR is it necessary to redo window placements every time you change where yo are sitting. I have a "restore icon positions" for macos Desktop at work where I have Three monitors,... and same for at home (different positions) where I have 2 monitors. Is there a similar app on the AVP for windows?

The hight of the indicator position is actually a bugfix in a specific situation, and I didn't knew about until this video. The situation is that I have a mirrored screen from my MacBook and a video call (Teams, Slack, FaceTime, ...) in the Vision Pro at the same time. Now the camera indicator sits right at the top of my mirrored screen and every time I come near it with my mouse cursor it switches focus from MacBook to that indicator which is super annoying. Moving it higher up fixes that.

Spatial computing = having to own/buy and USE another mac computer to actually do work in your new $3500 spatial computer. So why can’t it run mac apps or have a desktop mode/app? It even has a M2 mac chip. So is this new computing platform or just a mac accessory to get some widgets and ipad apps around you?

It's an advanced spatial computing hardware and software *interface*, and proof of concept comparable to the level shown by special effects in Minority Report and The Avengers' Tony Stark. Without any Mac tether (just internet access), it can access Apple TV, Disney+, FaceTime, Messages, Mail, Photos, Safari, and KZbin (with an app). It can download and run over 10,000 programs. It can manipulate objects in 3-D space. It can display 4k moving content with virtually zero lag and an infinite contrast ratio because of its micro-OLED tech. It can display immersive 4k movies, and even 3D movies at 4k, up to an apparent 200+ inch size, larger than some theater screens, with stunning state-of-the-art dark level gradations. The same with panoramic pictures from I-Cloud. Yes, it could do more, and it easily will. But it also does so much, right now. It is a massive step forward, and a masterpiece that sets a new paradigm for this future platform and interface. It is not just a Mac accessory. It is far beyond that already. I think my fellow Reed College alum, Steve Jobs, would be proud.

@@phillipschuman4307 I find it astonishing how new tech is received in these modern times. It can be so revolutionary (a self driving tesla for example, that anyone can subscribe to) will still summon those who simply need to complain about anything. It’s the execution of the tech that is amazing, and subsequent designs that are sure to follow. The myopic commentary I see on public forums seem to come from people who apparently never witnessed the genesis of any new tech. Has anyone ever used a satchel bag cell phone? Give it time, we have to start somewhere. I think Jobs would be proud, but HATE the battery pack 😆

People must stop using this too much. this will affect your eyesight. I have been using a Samsung VR for some time. it's not great for your eyes. it is better to wait until someone finds a way to integrate into our brains directly. Anyone over 35 years old will know it's harmful to their eyes when they remove it after a long session. I don't see any of the KZbinrs saying about this. no one cares about the common public health other than their pocket. this tech won't work safely for humans until this works with our brain directly something like a headset is shown in the Amazon series 'THE PERIPHERALS'. Our eyesight is more expensive than any VR headset even if it's from APPLE.

Actually, since I started using the Vision Pro my near vision improved to the point I returned my ZEISS inserts ( 0.5 and 0.75 ). I'm not saying the Vision Pro is a miracle cure, but I'm just sharing what I have experienced and have been testing for the last 10 days or so, when I realized this was happening. I had an eye exam the day before preordering the Vision Pro. The problem I found with the inserts is that the perspective of the object would be incorrect. everything looked as If it was tilted to the side. I was going to order just generic (1.50 )readers inserts, but these are not available under 0.75 (1.75). My take on this is that because the eye is a muscle and one of the reasons for blurry vision is the eyes changing their shape, using the Vision Pro I'm exercising my eyes, and that had slightly improved my vision. Now I'm back to using either no glasses or the 1.25 readers as needed (that vary depending on what I'm doing during the day and how lubricated I keep my eyes)(. Next month I'll take another eye exam to compare results and verify whether my eye vision improved or not. I want to make sure Im not imagining things. Another good thing about the Vision Pro is that the constant neck pain I usually have is less intense. Perhaps my neck muscles are getting stronger. Only time will tell. I still take breaks and when I start t experience any pain or discomfort I take a break from using the device. Also, this device can become very immersive to the point of ignoring signs of discomfort such as dry eyes or vision getting blurred or the need to go to the restroom. Well, stay alert an listen to those signs, don't hurt your neck, burn your eyes or pee in your pants.

@@phillipschuman4307 Primarily dry eyes, because that’s a condition I have. Or if my neck starts to bother me (another pre-existing condition due to a couple of accidents) then I’ll take a break and resume a few minutes later. Lately the neck has not been much of an issue, only the dry eyes, but that happens to me even without using the AVP.
