Bro. I must say that in this video you have been in that same places Ive been. Wilmington NC is another place I used to hang out at the beach and clubs back in the day place I had family that went to college there. I grew up in the middle of Wilmington, Wilson, Jacksonville , and Fayetteville , and south of Raleigh. The eastern NC area. Also, Fort Dix McGuire is where I went as an instructor to teach courses. I have close ties with that place, with over 8 year of TDY and training. When I saw those planes and surroundings, It brought back memories, but glad Im not there anymore.. HAHAHAHA. My two fav, that first load I most definitely would’ve told the broker I need more more money. I had it happened to me, they told me it was dedicated after I picked it up but I had another partial before that and the broker tried to take pay away from me. I called landstar and reported the broker and the rep I talked to told me to factor my original rate con that was agreed the time of booking. I won that battle with the broker. My boy if your getting your actual cdl just jump into a big rig homie I been a cdl driver for 15 years I just got into hot shot 2 months ago every week is a gamble and at the end of the day after diesel expenses truck payment or trailer payment and money to run the truck next week I’m always left with 1500 bucks …as a truck driver employee I was literally bringing home 1400 a week plus I was home every day and I’d be able to hit the gym …if you do hotshot you’re guna be away from home a lot

Tim, your e-mail app should have a scanner on it, so you don’t have to navigate 2 apps just to scan BOL, also if you’re using iPhone….. the file app also has a scanner… good luck out there stay safe

I use a conoco fuel card & a chase card for all expenses, set them to auto pay monthly statement balance = no interest.. keep up the great content 👊

A reset is when you have maxed out your driving hours/shift for the day and you have to be off the road for 10hrs straight before you can drive again. There’s also a 34hr reset that needs to be done after you’ve exhausted 70hrs for the week.

You just have to be cautious where your traveling. Military bases, ports etc will ask and search the vehicle for any weapons.

No Hotshots on partial loads? Maybe they're are worried about you being able to scale the weight or you might not have enough cargo insurance in place or they had bad luck with HS in the past.. For me personally I'll use a Hotshot on a partial load if I feel comfortable with the driver.. I don't believe I've ever used a HS as a dedicated carrier as most of my stuff is 48/48 ..Just know My rates are based on as a partial for a 48 ft flat and 48000 lbs.. I understand your trailer is shorter and you can't scale a lot of weight but why would I send a load dedicated on a hotshot when I can send as partial on a flat or step deck and save my customer $$$? That's the downside of Hotshots you have a combination of smaller deck and more importantly scaling less weight.. GL out there..
