Congratulations on your ride. I have only been riding upright bikes for 2years and this year the group we ride with was talking about HHH so I started researching and decided I was going to ride it. Two others in our group went with me so the three of us rode it. For two of us it was our first hundred. Of course we trained for it prior to. I am not going to lie it was tough when we got near the 85-90 mark but we gutted it out. I did not think I did to bad for a 62 year old feller who was never in sports but have decided to try and be a little more fit in my older age. Gosh there were all makes of folks it was a blast. Will ride it again and now my wife wants to go also. We are thinking about taking our whole team from down here in Deep South Texas. Thanks for the videos. Keep it up.

Congrats. I rode that ride on the Cruzbike V20 for the second time in 2019 and I remember you passing me and I did not have the watts to catch you at the time. I can only hope for such fantastic weather in 2020. Never got hot once although I did curse the sun once for coming out from behind the clouds for a moment. I was feeling sorry for one velomobile who had his top on and I could see the condensation on his windows. I tried to draft the 20 mph pace group but the difference in speed was messing with my heart rate too much. Did not see the point of passing on the descent then burning matches on the hills. Wrong pattern for efficiency and endurance. I finished in 5 hrs plus 5-10 minutes. This year hoping for sub 5 hour. Get those miles in and we will see you in 2020.

Hey, congrats. This is my first year riding. I was going to try for the hotter than hell 100, but I have had blood clots twice this year. I just finally had my first 20 mile ride today after about 5 weeks of short rides, and not feeling well. There is a local ride, Tour de Pecans here near San Antonio. 30 40 and 60 mile rides. I could do the 30 or 40. I might be able to stretch for a 60 if I get some more good rides. I'll see how I feel after today's 20, LOL. I've been riding a Lightning Phantom, but not liking it too well. The big, 700c wheel made it very twitchy. I have a 559 back there now, and it feels great. I am also getting used to my Baron Lowracer. I would likely ride that for some better aero in an organised ride.

4:02 Quatrovelo !! nice. I think You should go easy on yourself. 100 is a lot. In race tempo thats a step up and on top small milage in season. All together its deadly.

If there is some reason you cannot train enough for 100 miles THERE IS A 100 KILLOMETER. And if you are new to cycling and not in very good shape at all, there is a 25 mile. Just come. Once you come to Wichita Falls, you will be motivated for more.

Please, could you adjust the position of your microphone? The "Whoomp - whoomp" sound while you are pedaling is a distraction from the rest of your otherwise fine documentary! Thanx!

What was your elevation?

I ended up doing 1,780 in elevation gain during the ride. We were joking after that they must have tried to throw in every hill they had. All the climbs were easy though. The weather was perfect this year. Several people I rode with set personal bests.
