Native Floridaman here. Can confirm that water is the key to survival. We get +100F with +95% for months on end here in the Summer, but it rains heavily basically EVERY day for a few hours. Without it we would be a desert too. As long as the roots stay cool, the plants will keep going.

Houston here. I completely agree. Cool roots in the key thing.

I feel like a good amount of the success of these trees also has to do with the microclimate you’ve created.

I water a lot. I do believe that the roots get something. When I pull a plant to check the roots they look OK. So, why am I having a hard time?

have you ever had a problem with air flow and the lack of it possibly hurting trees? i've noticed your yard is very dense and i'm wondering if you have had issues with air flow and wether a lack of it overheats the yard
@aliasrose Жыл бұрын
I live in Florida we benefit from airflow to prevent rot, fungus, and disease. I imagine in a hot dry climate, grouping plants together might help with shade and protect them from drying winds.
