Great video Trevor! That was quite a haul of bluegill!
@trevorrandlesoutdoorsiowa Жыл бұрын
After dividing them up between the three of us I should have enough to hold me over till I start catching them again in the late spring. Bluegill is actually one of my favorite fish to eat.

I love this lake, i live just a few miles from it and once its froze over i dont go anywhere else.

I try to make it down more often but usually I’m going north most of the season because of all the warm spells that we keep getting. I’d like to rent a cabin again some year at 3 mile and stay a whole weekend down there with the family.

Save some Gills for the rest of us! Awesome!

They had a really abundant year of gills but as much as it got hit this season I bet they changed the numbers some.

@@scottmcley5111 I meant to get out there this year but I’ve ran out of time for trips. I do have Monday free if the river is still in rough shape. It broke loose all the ice yesterday and is flowing big time right now.

I fish this lake sometimes, was just wondering about ice fishing areas on it that are any good?
@trevorrandlesoutdoorsiowa Жыл бұрын
In the standing timber is usually good 13-25fow I also target the old creek channel as well. I highly recommend getting something like the navionics app and that way you can see the approximate depths and lake contours. It’s a very useful tool for finding structures and fish.

@trevorrandlesoutdoorsiowa Жыл бұрын
@@justinmckinney4650 clear lake was really rough this year but it should pick up with late season coming fast. As far as picking apart a lake flooded timber areas can be good and creek channels. If you can get a navionics app and see the contours of the lake it can be very beneficial on finding areas to target.

Is Jacob just there for moral support, didn't see him catch any in that pile
@trevorrandlesoutdoorsiowa Жыл бұрын
He caught quite a few just stayed away from the camera somehow when he did it. Especially the second day on a quick jump on the ice where we chased a giant school of crappies and I didn’t have my camera on me.
