Every year on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month, when the full moon is at its roundest, Chinese families gather to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festivities. The full moon symbolizes reunion and completeness. No matter how far apart they may be, family and friends feel connected when they look up at the same moon.

From what I've heard Hou-Yih was husband of Chang Ngo ; in the times of Emperor Yao there was mention of "the boat of the moon" And Chang Ngo and Hou-Yih traveled space and Chang Ngo described the moon in perfect accuracy

I see the comment about it not being 100% accurate, can you guy explain? I would really like to hear it as well, The internet tense to not describe folktale with 100% accuracy due to there been many version of the same story.

There is no such thing as accurate folktale since with each generation would change the tale to fit their liking or for other reasons. Some might say this is inaccurate because they have learned a different version of the tale.

The version I grew up with was similar to this one. The minor twist was she always being left alone at the house so she stole Hou Yi's elixir as a revenge.
