Dear Simon, great tutorial! I really like this approch because its super fast and suitable for let's say a building generator with scanned modular pieces. Is there a way to get the bounding box of the geometry you put into unreal?

Lets say I create an HDA and ship the tool with some static meshes so other people can use the generator. Is it possible to instance directly and ship my HDA for other users and the tool will be able to find the referenced static meshes on a different machine/unreal project?

is there anyway you can rename the (mesh Instancer) or HoudiniOutput_0 Instance?

I'd also like to know this, working on landscapes with hierarchical scatter systems is a pain without being able to name the instancers

Is there an easy way to just render a Houdini project in Unreal?

Use the render queue in ue4. If you import any animations, track them with a level sequence.

depends on the complexity of the houdini project. Generally you have to import and setup everything for realtime, animations, materials etc don't transfer over quickly.,

Im happy that now blender is implementing all this, houdini is very expensive

It would be nice if blender could export tools in the same way like houdini does with HDA
