dont know if anyone else ran into this problem ... my volumevisualization note did not show anything other then the bounding box and apparently my Density Field had to be set to "density" (mine was empty )

you probs have to change the size of the voxels etc, or the size of your sphere/ object - but if the box is there then theres volume as well just not visualized properly due to size

You have to put DENSITY on the Density Field , under the Smoke tab
