A knuckleballer could screw up not only a good batter but a good catcher as well. You could tell Gedman didn't get much help in how to handle Hough. Your mitt is more of a first baseman's glove/ fast pitch softball catcher's mitt. You can't sit like a normal catcher back there. Some of these kids with a cannon for an arm would be well served to learn a knuckleball and use it 3-5 times in a game.

Hough made a few All-Star games. He would always take (Rangers catcher) Geno Petralli's oversized catcher's mitt to the game with him for the All-Star team catcher to use
