Not that I’m by any means an aficionado, but today’s manufacturers using Cuban seed are making amazing cigars. Many of today’s cigars stand up to Cubans. We used to buy Cuban Cohibas in France and Switzerland when working over there- by the boxes in the 90s when they were more affordable. I did like the Cohiba lancero quite a bit, though that’s not my favorite form factor now unless the wrapper leaf is stunning. I find myself really enjoying the Olivia V Melanio, or the La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor. The manufacturing and soil work in South America is top quality, with readily availability soil replenishing materials, unlike sadly isolated Cuba. Everybody enjoys different cigars and that’s what makes this a fun “hobby” if you will. Love the channel

Gosh, I wish I could have had the opportunity to pay not astronomical prices for Cubans back in the day lol. And you’re right, the quality has caught up in the other regions to Cubans and has surpassed them in a lot of cases too. Love the Melanio as well! 😋

Not a big fan of pepper bombs, but I don’t get a lot of pepper from the Le bijou. I’ve smoked half a box of petit robustos and a couple of larger vitolas and it’s one of my favorite cigars.

The My Father’s Le Bijou (really any of them) smoke SO much better in toro than robusto. I’m not sure why, but they’re much more woody and less peppery. They’re probably my favorite manufacturer right now.

@25.40 the 50 year padron. Those are amazing. I have 2 with the red serial numbers (only the first 50k sticks have red serial numbers) probably not going to be smoked for at least 20-30 years. Got those unicorns aging

Great video, that shirt is legendary! I thought the Perdomo 10th anniversary was decent but I love the bourbon barrel connecticut, top 3 cigar for me. I have an Oliva Melanio V in my humidor I will take your advice and let it sit.

Smoking my very last plasencia year of the tiger at the moment, its a sad, exceptionally tasty,bittersweet moment. I hope one day im able to find more, i doubt it tho, but at the end of the day cigars are made to be smoked, not to be looked at.

Enjoying a Perdomo 10th anniversary champagne as I type this. I must admit I am one of those AJ fanboys. I recommend the Rosa de Guadalupe. Good medium stick with a unique flavor profile that won't break the bank.
