Frankly, I think you are talented enough to use the deepest palette! Most of us with light skin tone likely would find it frustrating trying to use the dark shades and having to be so careful. So glad they are finally doing a darker shade palette!! But yeah you made it look easy to use for lighter medium skin tones but I think I'd hate it haha. I'd definitely want to get the lighter one

I just wanted to say what a clever idea it was to show each face side my side, not just he palettes side by side. this is what we really need to know in the real world - how they will look on the face not just swatched on the arm. Although that is of course appreciated too! Thank you also for taking the time to showcase each blush on its own instead of layering them so that we could see them clearly. You have the best lighting as always. The dragon should be arriving soon but the blushes look warmer than expected and i think i prefer the evil eye - in the lotus package 🌸 Awesome job Tania

I agree, the evil eye is creepy to me. Some cultures really believe in it for protection and good luck, but I think HG needs to go back to doing animals because that could put some people off. Btw your time stamp reads Snake but it's Dragon, which could be confusing bc they did have a snake last year. That's awesome that HG gave you a code!

I shared this with you Tania ♡ But anyone else here with me on that the packaging is not so nice as previous years? I feel that if they were going for flowers, they could have made some extraordinary pretty palettes in a floral theme. And have added unique new shades! Like a lavender blush. A cooltoned pink blush - both which are really hot now. They could have added subtle, but luminous multichrome highlighters (since multichrome is very popular right now too.) They could have taken current trends and made those their own. In the Hourglass style. Instead of the same old rinse and repeat.

I don't think Hourglass caters to colour trends. They very much do what I call functional or prettyfying makeup. These are workhorse palettes as far as I can tell.

Now I truly understand and appreciate the hype about these palettes, I had purchased last year but was disappointed. After watching your genius artistry skills using all three palettes, I learnt a few skills and techniques and decided to pull my Snake palette out and play. I am medium tan brown-skin. Omg! I’m so glad you showed us all three palettes and I loved to see you being pleasantly surprised at how much you liked the colors in each one. I agree that Hourglass did better this year with the new shades and offering more blushes and neutral almost cool leaning bronzers which I’m here for. I really do think that deepest palette can work on a lot of skin tones including light which may mean they didn’t go deep enough. However because of the airbrushed soft focus nature of Hourglass powders it makes sense that you can start lightly and build up softly to suit a deeper skin tone. I’m overall excited for this year’s offerings and cannot decide which one I like most! 🫶🏻🥰😍😊💕

I agree w/you on the dragon & lotus palettes….those two are my favorite palettes & I’m a medium-olive skin tone. It’s just that pink blushes aren’t all that complimentary on me, so the evil eye palette is less workable. There are always more than 1 shade I would never use, so I have no HG palettes. I have been trying to decide on a HG finishing powder, and the Dragon palette has 2 that should work for me, and the blushes and bronze shades are right in my lane. Only questionable one is the highlighter, likely too blingy, but I’m old, so there is that. Dragon in lotus case is on the way. Thank you for another excellent review.
