I'm 36 and my skin is normal with a slightly oily t zone and early signs of aging like fine lines as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I DO NOT use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have olive skin. My face is often a LOT lighter than my body because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

It gives me a much better real life expectation about how these powders look and their blueing effects. Yes Charlotte!!! I am so glad you are sharing this. I can see that two or three of the shades of the dim and diffused light powders in the large palette are the same as the Ghost edit Christmas palette from last year. The quad one has all new colours for me so I was interested in whether those colours would be OK for me as I am fair skinned. I had never spent so much money on one make up item in my life when I bought the Ghost edit palette slightly discounted after Christmas last year but it is the best thing I have ever bought and I use it every day!

Thank you for being so honest about the palette. I was really hoping this would be the one to work for my deeper skin tone but you have sadly shown otherwise. Glad I know now rather than buy and be disappointed. Can only hope Hourglass gets the memo that darker skinned individuals love them too!

great review charlotte ! the previous unlocked edit was my first ever face palette and i love it (i love hourglass in general) largely because ALL 6 shades work on me, which makes it 100% value & no wasted shade. for the sculpture series i was actually most keen on the quartet so your review is immensely helpful since it means i can save my pennies now seeing it’s the same thing i have. i’m not keen on the large sculpture palette; i don’t feel it is any massive difference to what i already have & would probably be best for those who missed out on the previous edit instead. i just picked up the infinity powder & love it ! reviewers seem divided & even though you were not overwhelmed by its performance as a finishing powder i thought it looked fantastic on you. the softly blurred luminosity is great on my combination skin & is just what i like. thank you for your speedy & helpful reviews ! 💗

I ordered both of these holiday palettes from HG. I skipped the last two years of their holiday collection but decided to pull the trigger this year on this collection. They look beautiful! I do wish they would come out with two different collections though for light/medium and tan/deep tones so everyone could enjoy them.

I was so psyched about the quad bc the bronze and blush colors looked rich yet soft at the same time, only to learn they are existing colors from the unlocked which I already have and do love, but I was loving the idea for a summer skin quad. Thanks ever so for reviewing these. I already have the ambient lighting trio, a single nude light bronzer and the incandescent electra blusher. So as pretty as these new ones are, I'll probably pass. If there was another peach coloured blusher in any of them I may have thought about it, but they seem to be mainly shades of pink/mauve which I just don't wear. Tbh, they don't REALLY look that much different to the last ones that were released. My purse 👛 is already thanking me 😁.

I'm so happy you did this!! I was certain I was getting one of the sculpture palettes BUT they're so repetitive now, it would be a waste of money for me I already have two of the prev hourglass palettes, plus mood exposure as a single. It's also SO frustrating that they haven't bothered to expand their range to be more inclusive. They have plenty of money behind the brand since they're a luxury brand so there is absolutely no justification for them not to cater to more skin tones

I agree, these palettes are VERY repetitive so I’ll only buy the shades that specifically correspond to my skin tone. Due to the cost of Hourglass products, it’s important that ALL shades are usable.

If come to the conclusion that hourglass does not care about diversity. If they did they would have come out with deeper shades a long time ago. The fact that last year’s palette was so light that even medium skin tones couldn’t even use it really pissed me off. I love hourglass I truly do I have the original unlocked palette and treasure it dearly but they seriously have some of the worst customer engagement I’ve ever seen. People will send them recommendations like Me and hundreds of other people have been begging for them to make the unlocked palette permanent singles...crickets. I will be passing on this year’s holiday palette because like you said it’s really repetitive at this point and I can honestly use the money to buy singles of the things I want.

Judging from the brand’s ambassador which is the gorgeous, magnificent Rosie Whiteley Hungtington it’s clear the brand aims for and caters to a niche demographic which is fair skinned, WASP-y, white women and therefore may not extend their profit dollars into the other demographics

This is exactly why I have not supported this brand with ANY of my money, and will not until I see an expansion in their range!! & my skin tone is Fair. Same goes for Tarte. Have never supported that brand, and never will until I see change. I don't care how good something works or how pretty something is.. I would be embarrassed and ashamed to support a brand that only caters to women that look like me, and not the rest of my ladies !!!

Maybe it’s your personal preference or it’s the amount of pigment in your particular blush pan but I think the mood exposure blush looks beautiful. I have a NC42 skin tone and it shows up well on me. It is one of my favorites from hourglass. To each their own. I thought it looked beautiful on you.

I just knew it, I knew if it was delivered today, you would upload asap! So happy for you ☺☺ As I'm steering more towards cream everything, I won't be getting this one. The powders certainly look heavenly on you and the highlighter is much, much better (and this new bronzer seems to have more 'body' to it). It's pretty shameful and disgusting that HG are STILL not catering for darker skin tones. I can't imagine it is so complex to produce that HG decided not to bother to create a palette suitable for darker skin tones. Even drugstore products are responding to the (not very difficult) challenge! Anyway, I really appreciate this 2nd vid as I understand it's time away from your family, so Thank You, 💜❣💜❣💜

Another great video .I have the Luminous bronze light, and it's way orange for me. I'm very pale/olive undertone, can you direct me to which bronzer would possibly be better? I was thinking even one of the darker regular ambient powders. I'd love to try their illusion foundation too

This is gorgeous but idk whether to get it or not. I already have dim light in a single and I have diffused light in another palette so I’d be paying $80 for 4 shades so idk if that’s worth it. I have both the ghost and unlocked palettes and while I use them they both look like I’ve barely touched them. I think I’d much prefer this one to the other two though, especially the bronzer and highlighter. Here I am talking myself into it lol. Thank you so much for reviewing this, it’s given me a much better idea of what the palette looks like and will definitely help me to decide whether to get it or not. I was on the fence because I have the pink Edit palette, the ghost palette and quad, and the unlocked palette, plus a ton of singles of the blushes (including Mood Exposure), bronzers, and powders. I can’t justify buying an $80 palette when I already have three of the shades, and you confirmed that when you did the blush/bronzer swatches as well. If a second palette comes out, perhaps I’ll grab that, but these repeat shades are killing me.
