If you guys are interested in stick foundations then try Kryolan TV Paint stick. Massive shade range. It's unbeatable coverage (used as stage makeup), costs $45 and lasts literally a full year with everyday use. I sheer it out with a sponge or even moisturiser for everyday wear. Nothing compares. Everyone always compliments my skin when I wear it and I've got fairly shit skin lol

I was a bit 50/50 also at first but I LOVE it! Definitely works better when you use less in those troubled skin areas! Just the application is so quick and easy and flawless 👌🏼 and yep it looked fine at the end but I know what you mean about the cakeyness up close 💗💗

Artis brushes make the crappiest foundations look better, so its not really a fair test since most people cant afford them. Theyre a good investment and i love mine, but the Hourglass foundation is already soo expensive for the amount of product that it should work with a less expensive brush like real techniques, elf etc.

Hi Shan. I usually don't wear foundations as they make my huge pores and oily skin look awful. I thought I'd try this hourglass vanish and omg I love it!.. I hardly use any and it covers my pores and lasts. My skin stil gets oily which it will always do, but I also used tarte clean slate pore less 12 hour primer too. But I have used the foundation with out a primer and it looks great still. So happy I finally found a foundation I like lol. Hardly need much and use Laura Mercier setting powder on top. 💕 xx

Thanks for your review, I too am an oily skin girl with huge pores so wasn't sure if it would work for me. Nikkia Joy's video (she has oily skin but I'm not sure about her pore size) was quite positive about the foundation. My husband was next to me while I was watching her video and he said "see, you should get that one!" lol.

+Christine Holl Hi Christine. It's so good for my huge pores. My skin is still really oily even at 42 lol. But I'm impressed with this foundation. I'd stopped wearing them, as nothing looked nice on my skin. This gives my skin an airbrushed look. I used a brush, but going to buy a beauty blender next and use it damp, as I've heard it looks even better with a damp beauty blender x

What type of brush did you use? I only have a cheap paddle brush (it's AWFUL, streaks everything) and a sigma flat top kabuki. I do have beauty blenders but they're old and need replacing. I hate to think what gross things are in those now!

+Christine Holl I have a stila brush. It's number 33. I've used it for concealer but it's really good with this stick foundation by hourglass too, because hourglass is like a concealer, but better coverage. I don't use circular motions either like it says to do, as I found it didn't blend as well on me. I stroked downwards and patted the product in with the stila brush. I didn't use much product either, as its build able. Hope that helps ☺️ x

I've tried it and I have dehydrated skin. I used the MAC studio fix powder and it caked up on me too! Once you apply this foundation use a damp beauty sponge to pick up less product.. If you set the foundation use a finely milled powder! This is such a stunning product that you don't want to mess with the finish by over powdering. I only set my under eyes and my nose creases! And then just use a setting spray to finish it off! Loved the video Shan!!

I have tried this, I am dry skin type, I had the same problem as it clung to patches, to prevent this I used like a dewy but almost silicone primer to smooth my skin texture out x

I'm so glad you did this because I seemed to be the only one that didn't like it. I had the same problems as you. It was cakey and clung to dry spots. And I have oily skin. I tried putting less product and it was worse. Nice to know it wasn't just me. It was given free to try also so I didn't mind but if I had purchased it, it would have went right back.

I actually have this and got it before it came out in stores. I really like it, I have "normal" skin, and little to no pimples, which is how my skin has always been. I do however have lines/wrinkles in between my eyes and on my forehead, and some pores, in which after about 4-5 hours it likes to settle in the lines, not so much the pores, and that's with using a pore minimizer and primer. I've tried different brands even and it still settled pretty harshly, more so than say my Georgio Armani foundation, BECCA foundation, even my Luminous Infallible Foundation from the drug store. So I pretty much only use this foundation stick on a date night, or when I know I want a "full coverage, glam look", but will only be out for 5-6 hours or less. I am going to try the new Anastasia stick foundation and see how tags compares.

But I do want to say that is has AMAZING coverage and looks incredible, if only they could play with the formula so it didn't settle so bad in lines/wrinkles. If it wasn't for that after the 4-5 hour time frame, it would be hands down the best foundation! It is extremely light feeling, like you don't have anything on.

I have normal skin- I am obsessed with his foundation. I use maybe half the amount that you did tho! I do a swipe and a half per cheek one dot in the chin and a stripe on my forehead! I blend with the same brush and then pounce with a beauty blender and I am obsessed! I'd love a video where you do you the foundation for contour tho! 😍😍😍

I have scarring and I needed a full coverage cruelty free vegan foundation, this one seemed like my only option so I went for it. I loved it, it did stick to my dry parts and look a bit cakey over time too, but to be honest is was worth it for the coverage. Unless someone some decided stick their face in yours and inspect your make up the you don't really notice the negatives of the foundation :) luv it
