Quoting Frank’s Wild Years lyrics caught me by surprise, Tom Waits is an icon of the Los Angeles music scene of the 1970s. It pleases me that these kids somehow know who he is and choose to recognize his poetry.

Thank you. This was a particularly lively night. Not sure I can make it to the George on a school night. I get inundated with invites as you can imagine, so as you say generally can’t respond to them as it would be a full time job in itself. Have a great show.

Took all of about 7 seconds into that opening riff to like this. Great sound, brilliant songs. Raw, but not simplistic, like so many acts that can't add anything to that rawness. New to me band, unless you've previously immortalized them on your channel and I've unremembered seeing them. Man, UK guitar bands are just clobbering it now.

@@rocftcdenlaf Hey Mike. There are a number of incidences of House Arrest on my channel. Jasper is a staple of the scene. Multitalented, multi-instrumentalist, and can be seen elsewhere in numerous bands, though he's avowed to cut down on these to concentrate on this project, and maybe Children of the Pope where he plays bass. Historically he's all over these bands, Neuro Placid, Pigeonhole, Ringards, Plutoz Beach, and as Jasper Ead solo acoustic stuff. Also organises regular Garagebashing nights at The Windmill.

I went to 10 years of Catholic school in the 1960s and I believe this is Good Evil, not Bad Evil. Well, Good bad, not evil. Seriously, though. This is amazing music. Crazy good. Good and crazy, in all the right places. Just went to Bandcamp to buy some of their music. Arguably my second favorite recording artist with the word "Fat" in their name.

@@LouSmith They're legal here. Not that previous illegality was ever a factor. Some therapists believe psilocybin may help with depression. Dunno about that, it definitely helps with boredom.

@rocftcdenlaf the clinical trials have restarted here after a fifty odd year hiatus, post Kesey, and are showing remarkable effectiveness at treating the severest cases of depression and addiction with just a single guided dose. They're currently only allowed to test on terminal cancer patients and severe PTSD in war vets, but the results have been nothing short of astounding. They may already have widened their research to include treatment resistant depression. I find small doses daily help massively with black patches, with the occasional party dose for good measure. Great for improving social confidence without the messness of alcoholic entanglement. I like to pick my own wild ones in the season and store thorough the year for difficult and fun times. They're the best. Have you tried DMT? Holy schmoly! Next level again. Good at shifting stuff!
