I grew up in a house under construction some 65 years ago in central Alberta. I can sure relate to living in a construction zone for quite a number of years . Mom and Dad built the house as the they got paid so every payday they would buy the material that they could manage use it up and wait for payday again. I learned a lot about setting long term goals and only doing what you could afford. I also learned about perseverance which served me so well in my life going forward. I really appreciate what you are doing.

Thanks for sharing your anecdote! Love stories about perseverance. I really wish we could build out of pocket like that. It would take WAY too long, unfortunately. Perhaps, if we had started like 20 years ago! :)

You make the mudding process look so simple, mine is nothing like that. I cant find the bullnose with paper around me, where did you get yours? I had to use the plastic bullnose, but it turned out ok. Just took more work. Thanks so much for the video!!

So do you cover the entire beads with mud or you are going to leave out the corner? Because it looks so smooth and glassy and I do not know if the mud will stick into it or and may fall off when it drys up. Am I right?

Window casing to 1/16 above sheetrock then hot mud, tape, mud, sand.

do you also put a thin layer of the mud onto the rounded part itself or you keep it off and only mud the sides? im confused on this part because i see its straight forward in terms of imbedding it with the mud, but do you also built up very thin layers onto the rounded corner part where its that solid piece in the middle or only fill and build up thin layers on each side

You guys are awesome! It is such a wonderful thing, to see the progress that you're making. I've been watching your videos, and always look forward to the new ones. Scott is an awesome Chef as well, the fish, and even the fries... ICF is a great material to build with, especially in the application that you are using it for, because of the insulation Factor. Great progress, looks like you guys are in the home stretch. I'm just a little confused about the hair dryer though. Seems if it is in a drawer with cloth articles and it is always plugged in, that may be a potential accidental fire hazard, give the random opening and closing of the drawer by different individuals. Just some food for thought.

Yeah, we may abandon that idea because we ended up putting an extra outlet on the wall above the counter. Women had suggested having an outlet behind the vanity to keep hair dryer plugged in, so I originally thought it was a creative idea.

Thanks! How did it go with your finals? Did you finish all your teacher certification? May was a rough month for me with all the end of the school year stuff. We are back on track building now (even though I have to teach summer school half days for the next couple weeks!).

Kendrick Homestead Had to re-plan my path a bit. I passed Behavior Management and Math Methods with A's, Linear Algebra with a C, and just barely failed Calculus 2. Will be retaking Calc 2 this Fall with three other new courses. I have three semesters to go. That will make for two years for the Associate of Science, and then 3.5 years for the bachelor degree with 213 credit hours total (some classes I chose to take because I thought they would be helpful, they weren't required). Will be watching for new videos from you guys and gals.

Those round corners are little tricky, I use chalk line to mark where corner goes then use a spray tack and staple gun to attach it, flat tape it with paper tape. Joint compound behind is really not necessary.

Are the outlets in the bathroom ground fault protected? I can't tell if they have the test button on them.

Yes, the one by the mirror is GFCI, and the electrician said all the others are tied to it.
