The video was very helpful to give an overview of how to install a well pump that uses a pitless adapter. One bit of advice I would give is to unroll the pipe by rolling the entire coil along the ground. That way it will not be a big spiral like that. Also, put a stick through the spool of wire and let it unroll as well. Don't pull it off of one end. Same thing with the rope. Unroll, don't pull off an end. That is why stuff gets kinks and coils you don't want.

I didn't notice til now, no foam under footing area so i suppose frost shouldn't get underneath too much with in floor heat warming the ground there
@SteveCallsen8 ай бұрын
Just curious, no frost protection? That foam is not closed cell foam is it? No type of membrane over top of white bead board foam? That stuff will get soaked with water & lose all r value. Hopefully u're in a part of Alaska that doesn't get too cold other wise frost is going right underneath.

So do you cover the entire beads with mud or you are going to leave out the corner? Because it looks so smooth and glassy and I do not know if the mud will stick into it or and may fall off when it drys up. Am I right?

Okay. So my cracks in my bullnose corners don’t scare me anymore knowing how sloppy they are to install. lol
@tonysvwaudiparts Жыл бұрын
You make the mudding process look so simple, mine is nothing like that. I cant find the bullnose with paper around me, where did you get yours? I had to use the plastic bullnose, but it turned out ok. Just took more work. Thanks so much for the video!!

We just had a well drilled in Oklahoma. Total depth was 180 ft. Pump set at 140 ft. Flow is 18 gallons per minute. $7000.00 complete. The water is a little hard but is treatable with a softener and RO for drinking water. I feel lucky to have the well we have.

Amazing video, anyway you can tell me what the name of that flexible pipe you used to connect the water line and pitiless adapter? I need one and can't find it anywhere. Thanks so much!

What size/model pump and capacitor was used? I couldn't tell... we have to put our pump at about the same depth. I was planning on using a 1 HP franklin.

I hope that its not too late to tell you. You need to build a lintel above all windows doors and all openings. You also need to place 2 pieces of vertical rebar on each side of each door window and all openings like those. These are very important for strength and integrity in these areas. Good luck. Tim

Thank you for the video and information. I'm considering this method for building a hangar in Wasilla. What would you do different, if you were building another structure like this or shop on the property? Did you source the EZ Form locally, or bring it up from down south?

that is the wrong way to undo piping or wiring that is on a spool.. u want to undo it like thread coming off of a spool. that way it will not end up all coiled up.

Would have been a lot easier if you put the pitless adapter on the line and lowerd the whole system down together.

Thankyou thankyou..after listening to you at the end, budget and all. I'm am in a similar situation, I'm a carpenter, but pretty handy around most things. You give me the confidence and filled in the gaps for me. I had a temporary hooked up with pressure tank sitting beside well ($1500)..with a hose running to RV while I rebuild house after fire. But here in South eastern Ontario, the freeze is coming. So not only the 1000's Ill save, but the availability of a contractor to do what I need here...thankyou you thankyou!
