Kudos to that captain…shows how well trained his crew is. He didn’t have to tell them what to do, just did an assessment and grabbed a line. Off the Engine, all by himself. Impressive. Did more in 2 minutes than all the other crews already there. 👍😁

Was this a set-up? Bullets igniting, propane tank on the floor. Was someone trying to hurt firefighters?
@SpartacusColo Жыл бұрын
Not necessarily. Lots of people own guns, and lots of people don't understand the problem with keeping flammable gases and liquids inside a house. Also, I tend to think that the tank was empty considering it was inert sitting in the middle of an inferno.

I usually never comment on fire response video's however I need to ask, where were all the firefighters from the apparatus already on-scene before the truck company arrived? As I previous volunteer, I'd say the responding crew only took a ride to the scene and wondering why they never went to work? I don't know all the circumstances on this call but need to be concerned?

This video clearly illustrates the difference between a career-paid fire department and a volunteer department. Paid firefighters are better trained and respond faster.

It also illustrated that one person on the engine, which is all you saw there, can't flow water and fight fire at the same time so you have to crossover.

Well unfortunately this borough is a volunteer district that we also cover, it was very late at night and as you may know it takes a bit for them to respond in to the station then get the rigs out etc. we are a paid professional department that boarders this borough. Thanks for watching

Something's wrong when you got a member of a truck company pulling the first handline! Truckies shouldn't even be touching hose lines, as their tasks do not include suppression. They are support personnel, with tasks primarily, including; forcible entry, search and rescue, placement of ground ladders, vertical/horizontal ventilation, securing of utilities, and salvage/overhaul.

Support personnel to what exactly? Putting the fire out. If the fire isn't being put out there's nothing to support. Sure it's not ideal but it is what it is, can't stand there and beat the fire out with a hook
