Not trying to Monday morning quarterback this but they’re doing their citizens a disservice by providing this level of service. Took way too long to get water on the fire, especially seeing how many apparatus that were already there. Officers (leaders) walking around that don’t even have an SCBA on. Initial cellphone footage shows some survivable space on the C and D side. I’m assuming everyone was already out on this fire but that might not be the case next time. Hopefully this was nothing more than a learning experience for them. Great drone footage though. PS - overlook the guy that fell down in the driveway

They had water pressure issues and had to put an engine at the bottom of the hill to boost the pressure from the hydrant and then later on had a car hit the 5” and were left operating on 100 psi. Just sharing some info of this. Can’t speak to anything else.

Well for one it's a volunteer department so those firefighters aren't getting paid and I sure response times are a little longer during the day and second you can see at the being of the video there was no fire Engine on scene yet just a ladder truck so no water could be put on the fire.

20 years as a volunteer FF/EMTI. I think they did as well a job as they could. The biggest issue I saw was a guy in a light blue shirt and dark pants running around apparently giving orders. Also two guys in shorts looking as if they to are giving orders. Again, as a retired line officer and my opinion only, if he was the chief, he should have called his officers together, gave them assignments and let them do their job instead of running all over the fire scene. Roof venting could have been a help also, as long as roof ops was safe to do. Again, just my observations and not disparaging the operation.

Surprisingly not that often. Three or four times the OIC was watching it to see the roof conditions. Even with a ladder truck up, it seems like a valuable tool, to me at least. I do understand that they have a lot of things to be watching, but checking in on it seems plausible.

It really is amazing how many people come on here and criticize the fire department, not only here but in every video I watch. They don’t know any of the circumstances and probably never fought a fire in their life. I live a half a mile away and heard the first sirens and thought something was close and went outside and could see the smoke billowing, there was no saving this house. I for one am grateful that these people do this, my neighbor included. Not getting anything out of it other than helping the community and getting nothing but criticism.

Everyone is up here saying "they should've done this or that. Why didn't they respond fast enough or why didn't they do this fast enough." In case you all didn't know, these are volunteer firefighters. As in they volunteer their time and volunteer to put their lives on the line for the community. They are not paid and the departments themselves rely on community support and donations to even remain open. The departments in this area do an absolutely amazing job! They deserve a lot more credit than they are given and frankly should be paid!

On almost every fire video I watch - it takes SOOOO long to deploy the ladder truck that the fire is usually out by the time that thing is deployed. To which I ask the question - what good are they??
